Epomaker partnered with Feker to create the Galaxy80. With an aluminum case and coming ready to use out of the box with custom keyboard sound and feel and gaming-grade wireless performance, it's the best budget TKL mechanical keyboard of the year so far.

Thank you for the detailed write up. I'm a big-brand mech keyboard user (Logitech G915, etc) getting interested in the more niche, specialized keyboards, but having surprising difficulty finding a keyboard that hits all of what I thought were fairly modest requirements for mixed programming & GamerDad use:

    * TKL std ANSI layout (to match my other frequently used keyboards.)
    * Swappable switches (I'm tired of desoldering to repair.)
    * 2 or more connections, one of them being wireless would be nice.
    * Less than around 5ms latency on at least one of those connections, (i.e. not *just* bluetooth.)
    * Backlit (Don't really care about per-key-RGB. Shine-through would be nice, but I can live without.)
    * Not flagrantly incompatible with Linux.
    * Without expensive features I don't need like configurable activation height, OLED screens, etc. (ie. there are LOTS of keyboards that VERY ALMOST do all I need for $120 or less, so I thought I'd find something in that ball park).

This one might be it, and your review might be the nudge I needed to pull the trigger. Thank-you!

I'd rather buy directly from Epomaker's site (presuming they then make more on the sale), but they are estimating a month delivery time right now, whereas Amazon says 2 days.
