Yeah I think the item factions idea is a pretty clever solution because the community is pretty evenly split. On one hand you have the POE crowd where trading items is part and parcel of the game. Loot roll percentages are so infinitesimal that the chances of you actually finding BIS items are basically zero unless you can tap into the power of the entire community to find what you need... At a price, of course.

On the other hand you have the side that doesn't want the ugly side of botting and RMT to ruin the economy and prefers the loot model where you can only trade items with people you are currently grouping with. Although LE did add a limited way to trade with people who you group frequently with even if they're not in your group when a key item drops. The benefit for giving up open trading is your drop percentage is vastly greater and they give you ways to target specific drops.

Seems like a pretty fair system. I'll personally be going CoF because I don't have the time to grind the billions of gold people will want for even the most basic of quality items. The only downside I see is there's no way for the CoF folks to avoid the avalanche of gold farmer bot spam in chat short of disabling chat all together, and as a vet player I do like to engage with new players and answer questions. Oh well, no system is perfect. I'm sure my ignore list will be colossal by the end of the first week.

I want to play Runemaster using claw and lightning but i wonder how much that was hit with the most recent update. Didn't like what i saw on Maxroll but IcyVeins seemed to have a good build for it. If anyone has other build sites id be willing to give them a look

Cant do it.. Why do these games keep regressing from d2? 8 players in 2000..... This is 2024, it should be unlimited in an unlimited world.

All in all the game is great. The online servers though are not. They can't handle the amount of people that showed interest. They can't claim they didn't know either. Hopefully they can work out their servers before they cost themselves a lot of players because the game itself is a great game.

Yes, but.... no cash shop purchases or twitch rewards work in offline mode. That's for online only for some really stupid reason.

The developers offer a guide on how to play in truly offline mode. It takes fiddling. You can find the reference on their Steam page or forums.

I got to level 10 in several sessions yesterday and and got to 20 today.  I appear to stuck once again though.  I can't get motivated to play offline on this game so I guess I'll wait it out.

I have like 6 hours into the game.
I just find it kinda boring.
It okish to me and I agree with PC Gamer's review of 60 out of 100. 
Theorycrafters and loot fans will probably like it but the action is a bit dull and does not keep me interested.
More thought seemed to go into the crafting than the combat.

It's different from. Better is entirely subjective.

Apparently online play is less than ideal and fully offline takes a bit of fiddling to set up. It's not flawless by any means. Hopefully they will be able to sort out their issues.

Playing the game for few days not ( offline mode ofc )

Its not bad, but its certanly not "the next big thing". Its a square indie arpg in vein of Wolcen ( bit better than it ). But it will have hard time to stand between the greats, not unless they add a lot of new content.

Its not that the game is bad or anything. But its definetly overhyped and will see big bubble burst of hype soon.

Not so sure, I am for one really enjoying.  D4 was meh and gearing was meh POE is good but can be kind of complicated.  

I think LE falls somewhere in between and kind of feel there a good audience for it looking for such.
