EA to layoff 670 workers, appox. 5%.

Even more layoff in the industry. This time it is EA. EA is laying off 670 workers, wich is approx. 5% of it workforce.

    I saw this on Reddit a few hours ago. A lot of folk are losing their jobs.

    Yeah it seems to be a terrible time to be a games developer, even at these established companies. EA laid off about the same 5% of the workforce last year as well, guess they are moving back to Ip's they own, the sports and that Pogo games stuff. 

    Hope these gaming dev's across the sector get back to solid footing at some point, some instance of stability.

    They are canceling Respawn's Star Wars FPS game, which I expected.

    Just more confirmation that EA is a terrible company incapable of developing good games.


    If they didn't have such a monopoly with their sports franchises, EA would have shut down a long time ago imo.
