Well - i mean, at least «something» is being rolled out to the backers. Although both the graphics and the animations looks like they were made with Dall:E - some progress is being made
It appears some players are enjoying themselves despite the current state of the game.
In summary,
"The graphics, up until that point, I hadn't really cared one way or another. It was the game's feel that got me. I loved it. The EQ friend feeling was there, the chill grind feeling was there. The addiction was there. Dishes started piling up in my sink. Fast food was ordered.
And then, the two weeks came to an end. I was level 18, a couple of pieces of nice gear, a lot of slots still bearing newbie items, and a list of camps I wanted to hit to get things I wanted. I'd been stuck in walls, stuck under the ground, fell off cliffs to my death, saw nothing but brown armor on standard human characters, in a game that still needs a lot of work and has bugs, but none of that mattered. For two weeks, I'd been back in everquest, and now all of us are waiting on April to get back to that place again!
If you're afraid this game isn't going to deliver, I can only reassure you. It already is delivering. No one I played with ended those two weeks down on the game. Everyone who got into the teens was gung-ho for more. Some of them even sprung for the VIP so they could keep playing more. It's fun, and it's only going to get better!"

Brad McQuaid. Really only had 3 games to hit market. EverQuest which hit and basically had all its goals in place at release time. Not sure if he was involved with EQ2 but at launch this game was a hot mess and 3. Was Saga of Vanguard which probably the game with the most untapped potential.
I played quite a lot back in the days but the pipeline cooling technology was highly underrated.

Played this on an old server that’s been around a while and I was right. It had a lot going for it and it was glorious. I think when he set out to make pantheon he was trying to make the game he envisioned.

Yeah this doesnt really say much. No matter how bad the game is, there is always someone that says they like it.
There are very few games that are even overwhelmingly negative. No matter how bad the game is, it usually will at least have 15%+ postive reviews, that will say they like it, probably just to troll people.
At this point I am so disappointed in this underwhelming attempt at an MMO game I wish I could take my pledge and apply it to Ashes of Creation instead or something.
