I suspect you haven't played the game. It's got a good community and is quite challenging in places. It has an excellent plot and history (still in development). The only reason I don't play it more is because other life obligations.
Could you elaborate what part of the game you feel could be challenging? It's the thing holding me back from trying it - I felt watching youtube reviews that there was no challenge, which would make it boring for me (same reason I gave up on Spiritfarer after trying it out, although it is a really well made game and I could see the appeal for its target audience). Might give me a reason to try it out.
There are some optional minigames that are challenging, but the core gameplay is tasks that don't have any challenge. If you disliked Spiritfarer because of lack of challenge, then Palia isn't for you since it has even less challenge.
I'm one of the people that love Spiritfarer. I recently bought it for $8 or $9 on sale on Xbox even though it's back on GamePass. For me, it has some challenge activities without challenge being a focus. I don't really play games for challenge though.
Palia doesn't appeal to me at all. To me, there are so many better options for chill or cozy games that have life-sim, farming, building, crafting, resource management, and exploration. Even F2P, there is a big list of games I'd rather spend time on. It isn't just the pricey cash shop or sketchy management that puts me off.
Pretty sure we were in discussing possible reasons behind Palia's layoffs including economic factors as well as game quality and market focus.
Or did you just see the "T" word w/o actually reading fully what was posted?
I mean, it seems like you were sourcing a Trump superpac to obliquely blame Biden for Palia's financial problems. I'm sure you could not have intended that (cause that's--how to put--amusing), but that's how it looks.
You even quoted the hyperbolic and specious statement 'Americans are needing multiple jobs to afford Joe Biden’s America.”
You don't think that's political?
I quoted a comment made on the Bloomberg article, and besides the disclaimer about not getting political, included this qualifier
If it is true (not the alleged cause, just the outcome)...
that there was a reported 2.7% increase in multiple job holders last month, and that figure is up 27% since Jan 2021 then it's a bad look for the economy/workers regardless of the actual cause.
No telling what the real reason is for the 27% increase in multiple job holders (if it's even true considering it's source) regardless whatever BS the candidate in question is touting.
Apparently I should have left the final line off since many are blinded when they see the "T" word. (or the "B" word for that matter.)

This was mostly directed at the "woke" comments adding nothing to the convo - but I didn't see all the other ones when I commented - last time I do that from my phone in bed, lol. Actual discussion is, of course, good - so long as it doesn't get political or heated.

I also loved Spiritfarer, but with Palia I had patience to play it only some time before getting bored.
Palia is just more boring than games like Stardew Valley, My Time at Portia/Sandrock, Disney Dreamlight Valley and Animal Crossing New Horizons.

Incel, another word that is overly used and totally lost it's meaning.

Now, back to Palia layoffs.
