Like others here have wondered, what does the term 'season' even mean?
Near as I can tell, they roll out a certain amount of content and allow access to backers. Backers who paid more can test that content for the entire time it’s available. That time period is a “season.”
Then backers who gave less money will have access later on in the season.
Once the season is over they gear up for adding more content and the cycle repeats. Eventually they will have tested and added several chunks of content.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
If you want to know why nothing ever gets done in this game. Here is an example.
In this video, VR talks about no longer using Houdini.
Several years ago this was hailed as a big deal for them to start using this particular tool for terrain generation to get the game out faster.
Now it's just another case of the team having to scrap 3 years of whatever it was they were doing. Making one zone sure takes a while when you redo it half a dozen times with a different toolbox each time.

Wow! Just thinking back to those 2018 Pantheon streams and look where it is now 6 years later, just so disappointing.
So, a Pathfinders Pledge $250, Advisors Pledge $300, and Perceivers Pledge $500. Going by the game play videos there should be Lemon Pledge $7.49.
The game is still in pre-alpha. The only way you can play is buy one of those pledges, and even then you can hardly play unless you buy VIp + pledge.
