My biggest problem with the game is it hasn't changed at all since launch other than lots of skins from stuff. The ship physics never got better, in fact they didn't add new ships, just frigging different colours you can pay for.... Remember when customization used to be part of the game not not a transaction? However even all the weapons you can buy is just the same stuff but with a different skin. Again remember when skins were just things you could change in a file somewhere like in CS?
The combat never got any better either, they never improved the death penalty so it had meaning, it was just annoying. They never improved the quests either, still just doing the same things over and over again and once in awhile they'll put an IP pack in instead of making their own world. I logged in the other month and had the exact same experience as it was at launch and it was just that over and over..... I had at least hoped the ship damage was better, but no it's still just random holes.
The game feels like a cash shop gimmick, if an indie team made it then it would have been so much better.
I liked the looks of the game and the nice, relaxing gameplay. I just couldn't get into it because there was no character advancement. It was all cosmetic only. You grind all day just so you could have a different color sail or an eye patch or whatever.
Sad to say but it's just hallow. No real purpose or meaning to any of it. No upgrades or better gear it's all for looks. It could have been so much more.
