It's obviously all deflection lol. He's spent years here defending SCs long development cycle, while proclaiming next year will be the year.
Every year has been the year, of another funding and player record. Rinse & Repeat. Meanwhile haters still preaching for it's collapse like salty ostriches :D

It's ignorance because you're seemingly too obtuse to understand that plans from 2013 aren't relevant in 2023. B)

I can't believe you are actually writing this kind of..remarks. Seriously. TALKING about housing in a GAME they ALREADY released with PLENTY of expansions and is literally, the most successful MMO of all times ( like it or not ). See the difference? Yes? Great .
Wait, wait, it's like every game development plan changes along development...

Maybe I should have stuck with only crowdfunded mmo's as examples... ah wait, they all changed too.

So now you actually have a crystal ball? Burn so many times chasing that high? WoW is THAT high. Like literally that High. SC will dream to be that high. Same for Diablo.

I personally had 6 chars level 80 in Wotlk Classic plus other lower levels and I currently have 2 chars to 85 in Cataclysm. So .. what was it again? I don't know how that ..feels anymore and be excite about it?

"Dude", gtfo, you are starting to do shitty personal attacks.
Congrats on all the wow chars lol, like it's some kind of accomplishment with repeating the quest'giver'arrow'chasing' dumbified gameplay of WoW lol It's exactly the kind of players who are used to that instagratification who's unable to understand that some games and gamers might enjoy more complex systems and don't have problem waiting for companies to develop them lol.

McDonnald's too was once my favourite restaurant too when I was a kid :D

Yes, just imagine, they've spent 12 years and $700 million to get one star system into alpha. Think of all that still needs to be done, like warp drives to other stars, communication between systems, etc.
Imagine thinking that because only at 4 years old your kid learned to write his first name he's gonna take another 4 years to write his last name. :D

Such big brains in here, no wonder they get scared of space sims. The kind of players who keep mistaking the chat button with the eject one :D

Stick to your depth aka WoW, Disney is popular for a reason.  >:)

My favorite parts of these SC "Living Scam" threads are the blank posts I see because I blocked that one particular frequent poster in this thread. I often return to SC threads just to appreciate that beneficial feature.

I'd bag on Babuinix more, but I just got publicly burned pretty bad.

He said we were all cynical and full of hate, old gamers who don't even play anymore.  So I dared to believe again and now I'm getting burned again.  Let my sad tail be a warning to you.

    DON'T BELIEVE THE BABUINIX!

Can't comment on WoW comparisons. Didn't connect.

Raising money does not equal game development.  But it is accurate to say that the marketing is, by far, the best part of Star Citizen.

If CR had spun that the game would need over 12 years and 3/4s of a billion dollars back in 2012, just to get to alpha, the reception would have been a bit different.  And there's over a decade of bloviationing from the CIG brass that have failed or still not come to fruition.  Maybe a billion dollars will cure that?

Game development.  Game development always changes. (Perlman voice)
Especially when the man in charge is noted for lack of focus and easy distraction, along with micromanaging character.   Imagine a bunch of folks thinking that what CIG said was actually going to happen that way. Cue to numerous miscues.

It does look like the Investor Armageddon has lit a fire under some asses. Maybe Squadron 404 will suddenly drop out of the negative zone, fully formed. Maybe Star Citizen will suddenly get way better.  Maybe the games will get released half finished and buggy.  Maybe the Investors will take over.
    Maybe the aliens come....

Maybe some other studios could come up with a better Star Citizen Alpha or a Space opera campaign than Squadron 42 in the meanwhile nothing remotely close in the horizon, not even a little trailer or hint. Strange since it's so easy according to our resident armchair dev's  :D

No time to say "Hello", goodbye!

    I'm late! I'm late! I'm late!

    That late. :)

It's not late nor early. It will arrive exactly when it's meant to.

Or .... if backers patience ever runs out and the funding taps dry up.

    Naw, will never happen

The only reason funding would ever dry up was if a better "Star Citizen" was released by another company, so yeah in that aspect it will never happen.  B)
