If you can make a good PvP loop players enjoy to repeat. It's the cheapest content you can make and maintain. When PvPers find that, they tend to play for many years. I don't blame them for trying. IMO the combat is not good enough.
PvP zones are so fucking boring. Trying to promote ratting as a source of fun is flawed.
RIP New World. It was fun when you got PvE stuff for a while there.
As opposed to scripted PvE encounters where x happens at certain % HP. Lets be honest even the hardest PvE content in New World is an absolute faceroll. The most fun I had in that game was open world PvP, 10 of us going up against the zerg in Myrkgard and winning. Hopefully they can pull people back in with the console release.
