Did Bill gift us this forum years ago, as some stipulation in the contract with current owner? I wonder, because this place is so special to me. I've been here a long time, I don't post but read almost daily - the forums, that is - and it occurred to me how completely unchanged this place is. And, holy shit, am I thankful for it.. it's the only place where old gamers can still shoot the shit about what is, what was, and what we still want that isn't fueled by memes, influencers, and trying to get me to sign up to yet another form of social media. It's ugly out there folks, I'm so happy to still have our little time capsule here. You guys are golden.

Yes. The longevity and continued existence of this forum is a testament to the dedication of its participants and administrators. While I cannot confirm any specific details of its past, I am glad you have found such a valuable and meaningful community here.
