I played the alpha public test (for free for everyone) of Evercraft Online this weekend and it was both more finished and closer to original Everquest than this turkey they trying to push on us

Tread carefully, Alexa, Google Home, and Apple Homekit are always listening, especially about anything related to Pantheon rise of the fallen. 

Some of the bots here appear to have gained some type of rudimentary sentience, one poor bastard thinks its a Lord of the Rings loving Father, and Website News editor living in Las Vegas.

Be ready. Try and study the records of James T. Kirk. His illogical banter has outwitted AI many times causing them to self destruct.

I don’t care that it’s incorrect, but some of us have noticed and been pointing out that almost every article on this site about Pantheon this year has given the wrong name for the developer. Keeps happening no matter how often it’s pointed out. Given some other poor editing, writing and information we’ve gotten here lately it is very odd and unprofessional (and potentially a result of AI tools used to write the articles).

That's probably the reason, they dictate and the AI bot writes something else.

What false claims? They've nailed everything they've set out to do and they're a fantastic indie company (read: Small!) that's reproducing the early EQ vibe so many of us want while maintaining their own creative style!

It’s posts like this that show such a deep disconnect from reality that make me actually want to see everything blow up.  I played the game.  It’s an utter disappointment on every single level.  I found zero redeeming qualities to it.  

To make a claim like “Hey it’s really rough but I still kind of like it” is one thing”. To make claims like “They’ve nailed everything they’ve set out to do” is just laughable.

I'm not sure what you mean by this comment.
There is quite a bit of toxic bile out there.

If I pre-ordered an iPhone 15 and paid $1100.00 for it, and it was delivered to me 5 years late, with half the features, and was actually a 1990s flip phone I'd be upset.

The excuse from Apple that "we're doing cool new things" wouldn't really make things better for me.

Gaming is the only industry I know of where being upset under those circumstances would make one "entitled".

I doubt that is what you meant though.

I guess we can play with this, and ignore the previous development experience the founder had on his resume.

It works fine for new companies too - for example, if I go to a new restaurant and order a burrito and I get a hamburger with fries 3 days later I would be disappointed, and perplexed if my complaints were filed under "entitled".

"The chef is new at this, so you must expect some changes".

I'm curious is there is absolutely any other consumer product category out there that can take thousands of dollars, deliver something different than what is promised, do so many years late, and then file complaints under "entitled".

Nothing wrong with backing the project and continuing support; however, the detractors have very solid footing.

Savanja banned me from discord for correcting her false statement about the game. If I said anything after that, it was not in their discord. Maybe don't make stuff up if you don't know what I'm talking about.
