    Why "warn the defenders", why not ban the exploiters?

    Yes, put out a public statement that details exactly how to attempt such exploit.

    Remember when game devs would just patch these types of exploits out in testing environments?

    The exploit isn't detailed in the message, and supposedly they are going to ban people doing it. It's also pretty hard to do, and is easily defendable if you know what to look for. Also seems like like an easy patch, but what do I know.

    I don't understand why they didn't:

    A, patch it immediately ...
    B, postpone the siege until they could patch it.
