Well last week (as some of you may know) my comp crashed and wont even format. Well at the bootup screen it says,
(system specs blah blah blah)
Pri Master hard disk S.M.A.R.T Status BAD backup and replace
CPU fan error (my cpu fan is up and running fine)
Press f1 to continue.
Now i googled all of this and found out that my HDD is going bad when it says that error above, so im about to head out and grab another and see if i can format now.
But i dont know how to stop the cpu fan error. When i did format ( I can ONLY format with quick) and got into WinXP , the cpu fan error stopped for some reason. I have no clue why, but it seems when WinXP is installed it stops (stops after a few restarts) Can anyone explain this? ( Im thinking its the windows updates but IDK )
Oh btw, in the BIOS, my CPU and mobo temps are 98F, MB is 78F. Is that normal? (wont show my CPU fan speed)
Thanks!
