Could someone start in DaoC now ?

I've never played the game but it does seem to be rather popular. Are most of the people playing all high lvls, and will the noob areas be a ghost town ? Would it be fun for someone who's never played to start now ?

I'm bored of all the ones out right now, and nothing coming seems very good.

It might be a little vacant earlier in the game, but its basically just as good to solo at that point anyways. The reason being, people with a level 50 on their account get to start at level 20 when they make new characters. So even the new characters that the verterans make will simply skip over the earliest levels. If your goal is to get to the end game to you can enjoy RvR i would suggest one of the 'classic' servers.

In the classic servers there isn't Trials of Atlantis. ToA was the third expanision and it added a bunch of PvE to the endgame... requiring you to get artifacts and hunt more after level 50 in order to gain experience for your artefacts. If you're more of a PvE person anyways... go with a normal server.

Just make sure you join a server with a good population.

It can be pretty crowded in the newbie areas on the classic servers, they cant use the instant-level-20 trick there either AFAIK.
