I'm an avid cod player and was wondering what all of you think is better.
No bias opinions, but honestly what game is better. Gameplay, features, community, graphics all together.
I might consider playing WW II Online, but just want some info on the game before I get into it.

You really can't compare the two... COD is an instant gratification action game, while wwii online is a real wwii sim. In CoD losing a map doesn't mean anything, just like there is no sense of accomplishment if your team wins a map. In WWII online losing an important town can mean losing the entire war (or at least severely disadvantaging your side), and a war can take months to end.
Graphic wise CoD simply looks much better, although the graphics in WWIIOL are often improved and I certainly wouldnt call them bad. Also remember that in WWIIOL you have a view distance of several kilometers which limits the detail potential of individual models and terrain.
Personally what I like most about WWIIOL is the realism. Especially flying is unbeleivable, it's one of the (if not THE) most realistic WWII flightsims I've ever played, you can use real WWII pilot tactics to win (and you HAVE to use them to get good). It's also really immersive to swoop down over a town from 4km altitude at 900km/h and see dozens of tanks and infantry fighting over a town, while tracers from anti-aircraft fire shoot up all around you and enemy fighters turn towards you hoping to get a shot at you while you line up that unobservant plane in your sights, shoot out its engine and fly off into the sun.
Gameplay can really be amazing, but there are also times when you cand find any enemies, so I guess the game won't be liked by impatient players (which most of the "regular" online FPS players are).
So basically for me WWIIOL is much better and more fun than CoD, it all depends on what you look for in a game.
I think CoD is the best WWII shooter if you only consider its Single missions. However, when it comes to online gaming does it not have very much to add.
WWII Online: Battleground Europe on the other hand has no "Single Mission" feature. Only off-line mode where you can try out all the equipment and learn how to use it (which isn't always as easy as to do in CoD).
The major difference between these two game is the graphics and the gameplay. CoD has better graphic, no doubt about it. But it comes with a cost. The visual distance is only a few hundered meter. However, since all CoD map is just shoebox maps, not bigger then approximately 1km x 1km doesn't the game suffer much from it.
The main reason the graphics isn't as good in WWII Online as in CoD is that you have to take into account the visual distance of 4000 meter combinde with a visual limit of 128 players together with dense vegetation. If you sail or fly will you have a visual distance of 8000 meter.
The game world is one humongous map of 30.000 square kilometers with over 500 villages, towns and major cities to fight over. From some towns can you see the next town in your binocles. So when you capture one town will it most likely have an impact on what happens next. In some rear cases have your side made a breech in the other sides defense lines and your side can encircle a whole Division. And if it can't brake out form the pocket will it be routed from the game world for 6 hours.
Or might a victory be a phyrrus victory meaning that your side will soon have to retreat the recently captured town, and at the same time have exausted all your equipment and have no chance to counter the othersides counterattack, and then is it them that has you on a run fearing to be encircled and routed from the game world.
The gameplay of WWII Online both has advanced tactical gameplay as well as advanced strategical gameplay (on several levels).
Also remember that this is proberbly the only WWII game that is a fully combinde three branch game. Army, Airforce and Navy.
The Airforce brings aircover to the offensive Panzar (or they will soon be taken out by the enemies airforce), and sweeps the air over the target from enemy tactical bombers. Then do we have the strategical bombers that on a regular basis bombs the strategical war industry each side has. This in order to slow down their production of new improved equipment as well as the production pace that fills the spawnlists in the frontline Armybases. These bombraids is often done at an altitude of some 6000 meter in order to lower the risk to be shot down by the heavy AAA around the factories. But you still need to have fighter escort or the players in that patrols the skies around the factories will shot you down just minutes before you reach the target. Kind of a drag after you have flown for maybe two hours to reach the target.
I am sorry to say that the naval gameplay isn't what we want it to be, yet (it will improve however). But it is awesome as a very important support branch to the warfare on the ground. With out the navy would it be very difficult for the Axis to launch a serious attack on England. Only the transportships can bring Panzer over the English Channel in order to embark them on British soil. And the Destroyers is the most powerful weaponsystem that exists in this game. When a Destroyer shows up by the coastal town that is under attack must you run and hide. Even for a friendly is the 12.8cm shells terrible if they land near you.
What the naval gameplay lacks is the strategical function it should have when it controls the shipping lanes of supply and goods. But that is something that most likely will be added. Btw, did I say that this game is under constant development. It is not finished yet, and the question is if it ever will be.
Diving in a FW190 will do that
there are 2 knids of people in this world:those who understand sarcasm and those who dont
Well, I play both, and both are good for different reasons.
If you have an hour to kill you could play either, but in CoD you'll have a lot more action. On the otherhand, if you have a few hours to kill, you can take out your tank in wwiionline, set up an ambush with your squadmates and wait.
It all depends on how you want to play really. At the end of the day I find wwiionline more satisfactory. Capturing a town or crushing an enemies attack gives a greater sense of achievement than gaining first place on a map in CoD2.
It depends on what you want.
Call of Duty has excellent Single Player missions that beat the most. However, the Online gaming isn't MMOG, and that is something you need for a War game.
WWII Online is the best if you want a MMOG War game. Total freedom on a gigantic map with excellent view of sight, thousands of players to fight with and against. Three branches; Ground, Air and Sea.
Anyone that has played WWII Online for a while and learned the ropes would never seriously compare CoD with WWII Online regarding the Online gaming. But as a Single player game is it awesome, and WWII Online has no Single Player missions.
World War II is best coz it has best graphics..

or maybe it has already begun.
There are many worlds,
but they share the same sky --- one sky, one destiny.

If u are going to compare those two (even though they are completely different games) I would defenately choose WWII online. It has more depth than any other war game I've played. Everything you do has a meaning... conquering a city means something. A great game in my opinion
Try it!!
It's almost an insult to compare , i played CoD cal-invite for 2 seasons with Fivestar and can say CoD wins hands down but i believe WWII online is more of a WWII sim. If you're an avid CoD player, don't waste your time
If you want a realistic WWII simulator in the MMOG genre is CoD not even in the League.
CoD isn't realistic game just as it isn't a MMOG. 32 players on the same server doesn't make it a Massive Multiplayer Online Game. Right?
Several thousand players on the same server, and several hundred players involved in the same battle makes WWII Online a MMOG.
<------- CoD2 (the Multi-player SUCKS! but the Singel-player is a blast)
But CoD will never have the scope of WW2OL. But it all depends on your style of play.
I prefer WW2OL simply for the sheer thrill I get playing it. Not knowing where the enemy is. Not knowing if that sound is an Opel or a Panzer IV. Hearing the whistle of a falling bomb and not knowing if it'll hit me or the building across the town. And I especially love the feeling of getting a really lucky ATR shot on a Crusader and disabling it's engine, leaving it's occupants either to abandon it, or slowly get destroyed by sappers.
