Just an nice hint for the folks who are saying the game sucks. I notice most of these player only tried one faction while there are 7, 7 differand way to play it, with all differand allies
1) cooperations (CMG, VI and EC)
These are the trader orientated faction. They have an small militia force to defend there "property"
2) clans (MotB, BoS, GoM)
MotB,
They are mercenaries for hire, join one of there "sub factions" and join them to fight the highest bidder
BoS,
The are rebels, again the current goverment. They do this the hard way with fighting
GoM,
They again the goverment, however the prefer to solve it more deplomaticly.
3) GD factions (FDC and LED)
FDC
Militairy, who fight the enemies of the GD
LED
Police, they patrol the prison and city and can arrest criminals.
If you do not like then faction you first joined then try an other faction and see what you think about that. I found the FDC and great faction for myself.
