There goes my last hope...

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Vanguard was my last hope after all the crap games like EQ2, AC2, SWG etc etc etc..

SOE is involved into this games developement now, and that means that this game is ruined....


i wish Sigil would have tried to get another company as partner.

    I wish they had chosen another company, but the fact is that SOE is the best option given the previous record of the Sigil employees and owners with SOE. I still have faith on vanguard, SOE involvement is pretty small, mostly distribution, marketing and servers so there is nothing to worry about yet.

    and thats what happens to VG after the buyout.

    For now, they will slip in devs and all kinds of things, and slowly strangle the life out of it. Already you can not critize on the Vanguard boards, that is step one of the $OE take over! As a dev leaves, $OE will slip one in, till you have an $OE game, no longer remotely like Vanguard.

    I believe that now Sigil has more posibilities to remain idependent than it has before, my biggest fear about the relationship Sigil/Microsoft was Microsoft buying Sigil. Righ now Sigil is more independent than it used to be, so buying the company will be harder.

    Of course that may happen im not denying it, but for now Sigil is better with SOE.

    lol sigil has had ex soe employee's for quite some time now, and it has been made public.....why is that such a problem now? keep on speculating what might happen to try to convince yourself that vanguard will be no good....but try to at least have your facts straight.

     I think we're on the same page when I say quit the bullshit/drama and lighten up...some people just can't grasp that this is not as important as it's made out to be. As for calling people faggots b/c they're not necessarily in tune with the program well...that's problematic. Racial, ethnic, or any other type of slurs shouldn't be used to express yourself, makes you come off as dumb.

    Has there been a topic that's caused this much angst before? Wouldn't want to be the moderator here this week. ::::01:: Seen more reported posts in the last few days than the previous 2 months combined.

    Oh well, perhaps if people blow a little steam here, they're less likely to take it out in real life. We can hope anyway.

    well after the same stuff i've seen from SoE time and time again, I highly doubt i'll be purchasing this game after all >< guess Warhammer will be my last hope. *yes after SWG and FFXI, I have been running my own personal boycott against SOE*

    I wont be getting the game simply because I dont want SOE to get one cent of my money. I dont care if all they do is publish the game they would still benefit from my money and that is just not acceptable.

    I seriously doubt Sigil had any idea the size of the hornets nest they were about to disrupt.

    I'm not sure I can spend days of play time to find my toon suddenly gimped in a shitty wxorld because Sigil suddenly decided to sell VSoH to SOE.

    I might buy this game, I don't know yet, but Brad McQ has lost my respect
