Well, look at it this way. Those 50 to 100 people, along with a few hundred more pioneers and pre-orders who are waiting for release, will be the core of the paying-beta testers. If the number is kept low enough, say below 600, they might have a relatively painless launch (I know, that is VERY optimistic).
If Farlan can then keep those 500 or so people paying and playing for a few months AND they pull off a successful "feature" patch or 2 in that time. Who knows. DnL might just find a niche market--the "Paying Beta Tester" elite. The big question is, will the monthly fees from around 500 people be enough to keep DnL going? Will it be enough income to pay the salaries of the people who are working on the new content and feature and bug fixes?

I didn't post what I thought in the thread on the official forums lest I get banned, but there are very few people at the event
At least compared to the total population of SoG

even with a small group it was chaos, I wonder what would happen if they had a larger population. I remember the first events were even worse.
I miss DAoC
Few more from the French community
Miniatures attachées
I miss DAoC
Just posted thsi same question in the official D&L Forum.
How many players participated in the last SoG Event?
Let us see if they can answer this question without locking it or making excuses about some crazy trolling/conspiracy theory/Ebola virus/etc. BS.
From those screenshots, I think I have been in bigger Raids in other games ...
