What do you mean it looks hacked? and no it isnt my site. I just found it. I even e-mailed them and they said their site is going under some major changes, but they wanted that site up so that the company can get player feedback.

What the hell is this? what do they mean they put up the site to get player feed backs? we cant even play the game, so how can we give feedbacks????

I think they mean, the players ideas and thoughts on what they would like the game to be?
If you read the about you can see that they are trying to make a game that everyone likes, so you have say what you want? not sure though

this may be a DEV trying to advertise his new game.
The reason why I think this is because he loves this game so much yet the only thing neat about it is the title font.
There's no screenshots, wallpaper, sneak peaks, movies, ....
Im not trying to flame...but i dont think advertising is allowed on these forums

i was looking through the faq and found this hilarious little tidbit.

A: Huge! The World of Retall will be one of the largest worlds released on an online game. There will be literally tens of thousands of square kilometers to explore!
Tens of thousands of square kilometes. LOL. AC has a huge world (500 sqkm) as well as EQ (closer to 1000) and theirs are only about . Now if they succeed in actually getting a landmass of that size...talk about laaaaaaaaaaggggg. Unless it is zoned and there would be mad mad zones. And how freaking boring. A good size world is nice...but who the hell would want to traverse that crap?

This sounds like a nightmare to be honest. First of all, people don't know what they want. I know this from my every day dealings with consumers of all types. Consider also, this sort of idea doesn't work on all issues. Take PvP for instance, this is a huge issue with every MMORPG, but you can't simply put it to vote and be done with it. The issue is too clearly divided. Either way you go you are disappointing part of your cunsumer base. Furthermore, with internet security being in the sorry state that its in, I would be amazed if certain factions didn't try and sway the vote one way or the other from issue to issue.
Another thing, they claim that this sets them apart from all other games in the genre, which is false. While they may be the first actually organizing a methodical approach, Tons of other games listen to their fans and change their games structure accordingly. After all market research is a very important step in all developmental processes.

to be honest, it just looks like a bunch of highschool guys and gals (no offense to high school students) got together and came up with their little mmorpg.
I have to admit...when I was in highschool, I would doodle little pen and paper roleplaying game ideas...so I guess this is the next generational gap.
