I am in wish beta (nda says i can talk about it) and was wondering what everyones playing impressions are so far. I realize that its beta 1 and not many systems are implemented but it doesnt seem to have the *umpf* to me
I agree, played for about three hours and was done...
I did make some comments in their forum about things that just seemed wrong, and they responded that it was the way they wanted it. Like, for example, it is very difficult to click on a monster that is far away, their detection of that is horrible, you have to be way too accurate, and with a monster running across your view far away, it was very difficult to target them. I guess that is how they want it?
Not me, so I quit. If that mess is not gonna change, then the game is not going to be good with a very fundamental flaw like that.
Its beta, Dont prejudge a game that you are suppose to be testing. If you quit testing because the game is boring then you werent testing the game... you were meerly looking for a free MMORPG to play.
Wish is currently missing almost everything. They currently want to know if thier server software works, just that. In feb they will lower the testers count and start messing with gameplay mechanics. They will being to slowly implement features also. These will take place during scheduled times of teh day, no free play either. The GMs will telly ou exactly what they want tested.
I remember a tester in wish complained that they didnt have dynamic shadows in Wish, He demanded them or he was going to quit testing and tell his friends not to even look at the game... That is not what testing should be about. I was glad when a GM booted him from the test.
This is my major gripe with many beta testers. Many (probably most who are on this site) are looking nothing more then to just play a game for free. Beta Testing in the early stages is not there for you to have fun but rather for you to assist the developers in finding issues within the game or between different hardware.
I was a tester for WISH for quite some time the game definitely has alot of potential but for me I can't deal with the point and click system which will never change. The developers themselves stated the game wasn't for everyone due to this feature and I been playing way too long for too many years and just can't get past it unfortunately.

thats not true at all.....i ran out of bugs to find and dont judge what you dont know plz. The beta testers are more in a stress test mode then anything, with no content added, the patches only have about 4 fixes per patch. Please dont flame without understanding whats going on behind the scenes
I am not in the beta but i have played from another account before. I dont like it at all and its boring...Maybe just becuase of the beta stages but i quit in 2 days.
