Hey all,
I just opened the Disabled gamer's guild to the public, so if you have a disability and you're into gaming, come check us out.
http://www.disabledgamersguild.comThe
Disabled Gamer's Guild is a group designed to unite the disabled
community through a common interest. Though we have started small and
from humble beginnings, it is our goal to grow into an international
community. We wish to provide a method for people all over the world to
meet fellow gamers who can relate to eachother not only through a
shared enthusiasm for gaming, but also with a genuine empathy towards
our disabilities. Above all, we want to have fun, and make friends in
the process!

Nope not riddiculing him. Stupid emotionless text...
Kudos to you.
He's making fun of him in a sarcastic cliché like way. Not mocking him.
Anyways, I think that's a great idea. Good luck with the guild.

And good luck with the guild.
A. Guilds not geared towards a specific demographic are a dime a dozen. I could start one, but there's a lot of great ones out there (and tons of lame ones)
B. I'm already a member of a guild for adults ages 25+, and while i love the maturity that brings to the guild, I'd feel bad about starting another one just like it. i'd feel like i'm just ripping off my own guild's idea.
C. Because I'm disabled and know how it is to end up playing a lot of games because of it and I'm positive there are a lot of others out there that have that in common with me.
Again, for the trolls, flamers, and those who think I should have to explain myself, thanks for keeping my post active. For those who see good in the idea, I appreciate your support more than you know. Feel free to spread the word about my guild if you'd like.
In one guild I was playing in there was somebody who always said the same things in responses, it really got on my nerves after a while, because it was hard to communicate with him and I thought he was taking the p*ss.
One day one of his macro's said something to the effect of: "sorry if I don't make too much sense I have a disability which means I cannot type very fast so I use macros most of the time made by my brother"...it was something like that, and it kind of made me feel like a real sh*t.
A guild for people with disabilities would mean people would be more tolerant and not automatically assume people are being annoying for the hell of it, this will make some people with disabilities more comfortable, because it must be a pain to have to explain yourself to every new person you meet or joins your guild, so this is a good thing. (I know not all disabilities affect gameplay)
On the other hand, if people with a disability have the patience to mix with other players and explain themselves I think that is the better option, because, frankly it benefits the non disabled players to learn the social skills etc to deal with people with disabities etc and I think that makes a better world for everyone.
Cheesy but true, especially when dealing with younger players like in WOW.

It's both, I gotta start recruiting somehow, right?
Hehe, by the sound of it you better hope there is.
Legally retarded is also a form of disability.
That said, I have known a couple of people who are disabled and uses MMO's as a large part in making the day pass.
As these things often benefit time more then say the ability to rock climb I have no doubt that there are many out there who are highly successsful and I bet you would be to in making one.

Do you feel good about yourself? Making fun of people for no reason? Does this make you feel like a big man?
Remember, karma can be a bitch.

You do know that advertizement(Sp) is not allowed here right? I mean I understand where you are coming from but so many people come here with the same thoughts as you in mind and just come here to place their ad but not actually be a part of our community. I suggest you put it in your sig and start commiting.
And forgive the others if they are being a little silly.
