Expansion Launch Date?

Hey all, sorry to ask this as I'm sure it's been asked a thousand times. I was just curious as to the release date of the expansion. Have they announced an official date?

I don't think they have even announced Beta.  I would add 6 months to an official Beta announcement.

There's no official announcement yet when it will be launch some would say its July and others would say this coming October...it really depends with Blizzard as to when.

July is just an artifact of Game Shops making up dates.  October is possible but I would be surprised  since there is no Beta yet.  I'm sure they are shooting for Christmas.  Seems to me they gotta get going even for that date.  But I can't really imagine them missing chisrtmas.  Vivendi would certainly get really pissed if they did.

I just bought a PC Gamer magazine in the airport a few weeks ago and was looking at the upcoming release dates for a couple of games and Burning Crusade was listed to be released in October. I hope they are right. I'm pumped for it.

Man less than 3 months of Beta and 1.12 is being worked on too?  1.11 was just release about a week or two ago so 1.12 is like 3-4 months ago juding by WoW's usual time table.

Well I suppose anything is possible, but if I were you I would be scared not pumped.  I don't play the game anymore and won't be buying the expansion so its no skin off my nose but after AQ and Naxx events and various patch problems,  I can't see them handling  the large amount of errors bound to be in 1.12 and and the expac in parallel.  Maybe they are doing some sorta hush hush super clsoed Beta but that would almost certainly leak out.  Take my advice and hope for a thorough Beta rather than a fast release

Also every thing I have read in the forums indicate it will be 1.12 then Expac.  Whenever there are blue threads about PvP they say something to the extent of "Well 1.12 will do this and then the expansion will add more."

Really people Blizzard never ever give out release dates and then they do they are always wrong, that's why they stopped.

well i remember seeing something that said this year, but who knows. With the introduction of Naxx it'll be a while before guilds can complete the dungeon let alone on farm status.

Well I would expect Q4 of this year since the release was pushed back to address some of the problems casual players have with the game.
