Okay im sure that at some point weve all been suckered into playing an inferior mmo. And how do we keep getting tricked? Well, I dunno about average Joe, but I keep getting suckered because the advertisements get me. All kinds of lame MMOs have all this NEW!, EXCITING!, CUTTING EDGE! and the like strung throughout their little informational ads here and elswhere.
Im sure at one time youve all seen some fast foot restaurant commercial with some juicy-bigger-than life -Jesus will rise from the dead to eat sandwich. Looks great on TV, oh so great in fact, that sometimes Ill have to go try it out. Only when I get there and order one, it looks like a sad little burger by comparison.
So Ive decided to apply the same name for the same trick for MMOs and I call it "The Hamburger Effect"
So next time you see some MMo promising all kinds of razz ma tazz remember, most likely its gonna look sickly and disappointing compared to what that company wants you to believe. Trust me, youll save yourself time uninstalling yet another hard drive space waster.
