So I had money left over from my old ob and I thought that i would treat myself by buying a new game. I went out and wanted WoW but the fact that I have no CC ruled that one out.
So while I was browsing I saw NeverWinterNights (With Shadows Of The Undertide and Hordes Of The Underdark) for just 25 Euro (this is in a country where WoW still costs 55 euro by the way) and thought I'd get this game instead.
And I wasnt dissapointed. Even though the graphics are ancient nowadays the gameplay is excellent and it isnt a lie when they say it has over 60 hours of gameplay in it. And I haven't even tryed it online.
So anyway I was just wondering in these days where graphics seem to rule (ie:most popular games are 3D) do people still play this or even Diablo 2 ?

I think WoW has game cards you can purchase so you do not need a CC to play- but I could be wrong.
(Edited to actually answer the OP)
I have no idea how popular those games are now, but if you like that stlye (3rd person and only adventure with small groups) I'd really recommend getting Guild Wars instead. There are alot of people playing GW at the moment.

I took the freedom to find two of my favorite persisent(spelling?) words forward. Now, these worlds are not like the OC, there have been many changes in the ruleset, and how spells work. But if you like to roleplay(This is req. on the servers) and enjoys are more 'hardcore' aspect of gaming(Note: This by no means mean GRIND. But Narfell, for example, have a delay on 30min between you can rest. This means, you really have to take care of your HP/spells, and not rush foolishly in to anything).
Play this game almost as you would with an RPG, and you'd be happy. Heck, i know people who have played the same character for over 3 years, and they still havent made it to max level(Which is in reality 20, without HotU, but on Narfell it is nearly impossible to get over level 15, or even near, since the XP rewards are really really small there - And there is a huge dying penalty. Die, and you'll loose 1,5 levels of XP).
Vives in many ways, is alot more.. Shined up. Narfell doesn't use .Hak packs, but Vives does.(A .hak being extra items, tiles, placeables, animations and the like to the world)
I'd suggest you to try them both out, specially if you are in US timezone(Where most of the players play, afaik, euro seems to be.. Pretty damn silent).
NWN has a pretty good sized following in the module making community.

Also
http://nwn.bioware.com/ - take a look at the community expansion pack, there is a new update.
There are thousands of mods to download. Some good some bad. There are also quite a few persistant worlds that fans have made. If you don't like anything, make your own mods and worlds.
Also keep in mind NWN2 is due out in Sept/Oct.

Have fun
GW can in no ways deliver the same experience as NWN. GW is PvP centric, not roleplay centric. NWN's strongest point is it's toolset, and a very commited community. There is litteraly thousands of player made modules to play through, where some of them is beyond excelent - And the PW's only speaks even stronger for the game.
Edit: Ofcourse there is PvP to be found in NWN. Even on a larger scale, than in GW. The best i've seen was 30 vs 30 with a couple of GM's to keep everything nice and clean.
With the amount of mods I think I'll be playing this a littl while longer.
Try any of Adam Millers modules - Very tallented guy. Baldecaran also makes some great mods, specially Honor Among Thieves, which i enjoyed alot.
But, it have been too long since i last played SP NWN mods, so most of the names have slipped my mind.
Hey, I find myself playing the original Mario Bros. every now and then.
