I'm all happy about it and I did play during the close beta in Japan and even though it was a pain in the ass to get a decient connection during the last 2 weeks (Thank god I was chosen during the first tier out of four) because too many people were on and the connection kept droping on me but during the 2 weeks I played I loved it and now It's my new crack and I'm going through withdrawl arrg I need it!! I like this type of game where it's action orientated and have plenty of people to play with unlike other MMORPG's out there where it takes time to get a party and hope it works and most of the time people don't want to join because it's out of their way but with this game you have to go the same path.

PSO really was a great thing when it first came out years ago.
U really could feel SEGA's magic touch in that game, n i think it actually can stand a lot of nowadays mmorpgs, talkin about fun. I only hope PSU wont be as affected by cheaters as PSO was.

MY2, can u tell us sumthing interesting u sow during ur beta experience on this great game?? ^__^

I for one am very excited about the game, I have PSO 1/2 and I have over 240 hours on my level 73 HUcast, also I have two PSO 1/2 disks(because my former friend took a sharp object and dug into my one disk,  i've seen and played PSO 3 card revolution it was OK but I like 1/2 better I have never played PSO online, and I was wondering if PSOU came out for 360 if I would have to pay extra for online if I already had xbox live?

Just so you know, if you wana play PSO (EP1,2 and now 4) you can so on the pc.

There is far less cheating in Blue Burst due to all client data being stored on the servers.

I am pumped. I hope they add quests or something just to add more flavor even if it was already rad to begin with. I also hope they keep it fun when you kill monsters because the gameplay was the best part about this game for me. I also hope that they add as many unique weapons as they did in the previous games.

I played PSO when it first came out way back in the day, and I had a blast. The only thing that I really didnt like was all the rampant cheating. Thats also my only concern for this game, but I would imagine that its going to be much harder to cheat in PSU.

I have bought PSO for the Dreamcast about 2 years after SEGA stopped making DC. I have never got the chance to experience PSO online, although I have heard alot of bad things about it, like for example, people cheating and hacking in the game very and getting items very easily, which in my opinion, looks very bad for SEGA.

I really would like to play this game, but not in the chat function is fucked up and unorganized like most MMORPG's or if people will hack and cheat through the game. I don't want another everquest 2 and another Final Fantasy 11...

im getting it for sure. i loved pso for dreamcast. i would call of work to play that game. i stoped playing pso because sega changed thier online payment options and i had no credit card at the time. so i wasnt around for the other games after episode 1. back then the dupes and mods were a huge problem but that was so many years ago im sure it shouldnt be now. psu looks beautiful, it looks fun. i do hope they add a little pvp element eventually to the game to appease to those of us who love to pk. this game has me hyped and i recommend that everyone tries it to get away from the traditional mmo's. no need for huge raids of people just to get good gear, u can solo or just run in with a few friends and its all luck on what drops when and where. at least thats what it was like in pso. so im ready for it and already have it prepaid ^^

p.s i recently watched hack.sign the anime and it reminded me of pso soo much that i actually wanted to play again. but i decided to wait for psu

Well, I've got PSO for my GameCube (Part 1&2), and It's only funny if you play it with 2 or more players, and I havent got an online adapter for my GC, so I've never experienced PSO the real way. So i bought BlueBurst. That was such an mistake... even the GameCube version was more exciting than this piece of... . Anyway, I realy hope that PSU is going to be better than PSOBB, otherwise it's not worth the price. (Recently saw the price for the Guardian's Licence in a .de forum : 8,99€, that's, compared with games like WoW, a good price, if the game's good ;) )

Played DC up to BB online (except episode 3) and have waited for PSU since e3 '04.  I'll be on the first day.

Well PSO:BB has Episode 1 & 2, same thing that's in the GC version, and you can't buy Blue Burst, you download the client from the main site, Blue Burst consists of Episode 1, 2, and 4.

Anyway, yeah I am excited for this game, I'll be getting it the day it comes out most likely, if not, wait a few weeks and see what happens.

I am extremely excited for this game.... I mean like uber excited. PSO was a good game until everyone started hacking and stuff. That is probably my only worry for this game.

well, there are some rumors around that square-enix is going to make their safety tools public. and if this is going to happen, i'm sure that all big mmorpg's (i mean big, like wow, psu etc., not this f2p games ;) ) will use them. and hey, why do you think there is no (or nearly) hacking in ff11? and look at the private server lists, i don't see any ff11 private's! so i hope this is going to succeed, couse then there will be no hackin' in mmorpg's at all (or nearly).

/add oh, of course untill someone manages to hack the safety tools of square-enix, gl&hf ;)

  • MogruneMogrune Member Posts: 9
Yeah, go ahead and let someone try and hack the games. By the time they get through (that is speaking of if they are smart enough), either a new version of the anti-hacking software is up, or the game isn't much fun anymore. Plus, if they were smart enough... they'd be more concerned on getting/playing the game rather than hacking it.
