What do you think of DBZ being made into a MMORPG.
It has all the potential of making a great new never seen before MMORPG
You have all......
Species made up
A lvl'ing system
Planets (expandable)
Lots of cool skill
And many Items already made up.
And lots more stuff

2. You should realize that Dragonball Z was (before American editing) an adult show, not a kids show.
That said, I think that a Dragonball Z MMO would be fun to play. The storylines in the shows and movies were really stupid and redundant, but just the abilities and such would be really fun to play if done properly with the game.
Here's the problem: They'll never be able to get rights for a DBZ MMO. Dragonball GT totally finished off the series leaving no room for extension. The last thing that happened is Goku gets turned into a golden light that cleanses the universe of all evil. So without evil wtf is there to do?

I still hate that. Evily twisting things from their purity to make it bassically crap. They totally should leave anime and movies alone! (If you have ever seen dogma on comidy central then you know what I mean.)
Siehst du mich
Erkennst du mich
Ganz tief in meinem Herz
ist noch ein Platz f?r dich
Ich suche dich
Ich sehne mich
nach dem was ich geliebt hab
doch ich find es nicht
Although this franchise works fine as fighting games, I don't think it has what it takes to make a good RPG, even less a MMORPG.
I completely fail to see how a DBZ MMORPG would work. with the eye on the storyline, there are only a few people/creatures with those "superpowers".
DBZ episode 1 isn't even the beginning of the story. DB is. If you actually started watching from DB episode 1, it all make sense. It all started from when Gouku was a kid. And training under that old guy on the tiny island. Fun stories back then. It was all on comic books when I saw. It wasn't even divided into DB/DBZ, it was all in one. DBZ episode 1 The arrive of Raddis is somewhat already 1/3 into the story. DB was more of fun stories, while DBZ is q bit focused on silly fighting.
By the way, DBGT isn't even considered as a part of the real story in my book. Don't take it seriously. DBGT is nothing like the early episodes, it is pure stupid based on the desire of making more money.
I use to be a Dragon Ball Z fan, now i watch some other anime shows like Inuyasha, and Naruto. If they can make this game perfect, then i play it. Make sure there is character Customization, special skills that i can use, different fighting styles, and other stuff. Make sure it's not hack and slash grind fest game, make sure there is crafting and challange in the game to make the best items (like Everquest 2 crafting), and a good graphic engine.

I'm aware, I used to know quite a bit about the overall storyline and I've watched most of Dragonball Z as well as a bit of Dragonball. But my point was there would be no way to get rights for the game because, regardless of the purpose of Dragonball GT, at the end of Dragonball GT, the storyline was officially ended and I seriously doubt there would be anyway to get the rights to open up the storyline again. Overall, making a Dragonball MMORPG just isn't worth the risk.
I don't think you got the part that do not take DBGT as a part of the real story.
DBZ used to be really good....
Then after Freiza died,....it just went completely down hill....
Freiza was suppost to be the strongest in all the universe, that's why he commanded everything...
Then where the hell did these people come from?
Now they got SSJ19000, and a 1 year old kid can train to do that too.
I used to be a real fan of the show till it got to the point of mental handi-capness.
I go with if it was made by the right people...., it would be pretty cool..
If they made it to be like Budokai...., i can see it doing pretty well...
I wouldn't mind a Gundam Wing one either....., but it won't ever happen..

Besides, if there is a MMO about it, you don't have to place the timeline after the end of the story.
Just think about how many planets Frezzia were controlling. So many warriors from different planets. So many more new planets to conquer. Sure you can figure out it can be easily made into a MMO with lots of planets, races. Have you watched the Special Movie of Father of Guku? More detailed background about those planets, warriors etc.
Just to think about for a moment here, the game can even bring back Planet Vegeta. And make Saiya race available for players to choose. Of course I bet everyone will try to pick them lol...well at least most.
So my point is, the timeline of a game based on a show does not have to be later than the story in the show.
At least Androids and Cell make sense. Buu's story is horrible.
And DBGT sux big time. None of the characters in there even act like themselves. Nor the artwork match the original show. And the story is pathetic. Which is why I said I don't even think about DBGT as a part of the story. Just something like palleral universe.
like i said here, we're trying to make one
