in Flyff Gold

Firstly before you can compare this game to others...

I installed the game and DirectX SDK to start playing. The connection speed with the servers is way too slow! I live in Australia so I cannot be sure to speak for everyone since some people do not have as much lag?

Everything was fine like loading the game, downloading the patches, starting the gameguard, logging in the server, and creating an avatar. Once you enter the game in town, the screen feels like it has frozen. It takes perhaps 5 minutes just to move one step. I would of expected more from a game that wasn't in the beta stage.

Only reason I was interested was because it was free and the graphics looked decent. However when dealing with MMORPGs connection speed is everything! If its way too slow to even do anything there's no point playing. I'm sure the game must of started out great assuming people rated the game so highly... I guess it reached its limits.

So, this game is uninstalled! If you're wondering what Flyff stands for, it is 'Fly for Fun'.

    You dont need Directx SDK unless you plan on making games that use directx.

    Depending on where the servers are you will get lots of latency issues, then there is the factor with server load that also adds to lag.
    Yes someone living on a continent closer to the game servers will have lower latency (as with any game).

    Flyff has a big grind so you are not missing anything amazing.

    I live in Portugal(on the other side of the world) and I dont have lag...Thats strange!

    Maybe, you computer is too slow?

    Flyff is a great game, sad that you haso so much lag...

    I rarely have lag! You just need a stable PC, and you'll see how good the servers are. A 1.66 Ghz Athlon and a 256MB RAM is good enough.

    I only lag on PK servers for some reason.. Everything else is fine for me so i don't have to worry about it. just get a faster comp and you should be fine lol

    its not the game thats laggy. i can move perfectly just find, no lag time. its just that your computer, how should i put it... is not up to standard yet?

    I've played enough games to know what I'm talking about... why bother insulting the pc when it works fine with other games -.-

    I might as well just say I hate this stupid game. My PC is not pathetic. I've played on games such as MuOnline, ThangOnline, ConquerOnline, MapleStory, GateToHeavens, etc that have also been listed on this website. FlyForFun just happens to be the worse!

    I've payed all those games...Thang was wierd. MU i found a lot in common with Diablo2.
    Maple is bleh. I think Flyff is a good game. Not the worst. (EVIL ADVENTURE QUEST)

    I never mentioned RuneScape because that game was not even worth mentioning. My PC is capable of playing rather well graphics made games. Why would I bother advertising other games here that this website does not endorse. Don't think I only play free online games, I also buy games to my liking...

    try go to a server whit less ppl , dont go to Lawolf  ,  and if yuo still have lag go to PK room ,  and if yuo still have lag upgrad yuor Pc .
    Flyff is a good game and is not a game for kids

    As far as I know their data centers (server clusters) are in California (San Diego) so the more hops from your ISP to California the more lag you will have.

    By computer isn't TOO bad (though it might not be the best since I got it in 2000 )

    Intel(R) Pentinum (R) 4

    1.60 GHz  256 RAM

    With windows XP proffesional.

    Optus Speedstream Broadband

    Though the game can have some MAJOR ASS LAGS sometimes (Usually happens when I log in or die or something to do with me teleporting to somewhere else instantly. When this is the case I usually lag out or disconnect from the server though these lags can accure when I'm just simply walking there also a few random lags that go for 10 seconds+ when I'm traing etc it makes the game nearly unplayable) I quit 2 days ago but I've dicided to give it another try (for some odd reason ) I'm downloading it right now.

    If someone can tell me if my computer is simply pathetic or maybe its where I live (Australia NSW) or my broadband internet connection.

    I have no idea what you mean. I live in California and sometimes my computer could just lag out of control. But a game worth playing is one worth sticking too. Plus my favorite Fantasy game because it's free, like a good game should be. The only reason other games might do better is because there hungry for your money and you play into it you FOO's.  I heard from somebody that all you pay to play FLYFF is your time and it''s it's probably not worth to much.

    You could say I don't have a life, but the only life with some decency, common sense, and self rightesousness comes from the Heart of a Gamer.  I'm also very faithful to the .Hack Show, Manga, and Novel.
