Difference between chronicle 1, prelude and normal game?

in Lineage 2

Hi,

when I look through lineage 2 fan pages I sometimes read names like chronicle 1 and prelude. In item databases some items have chronicle 1 in brackets. What are those to names and whats the difference between them and the normal game?

    I believe what you are looking at is when the game goes live it gets its first 'official' update and they call the update the 'chronicle 1'.

    Those are my views... seen through a broken glass.
