I've been an avid eve player for a year now.
Only now have I become completely disappointed with the company CCP and their game.
So. I put a market order to buy items for an amount of money that took me weeks to accumulate...
The market order VANISHES into thin air, the money is not returned and the order was not filled and there is no record in your journal of money going anywhere.
In order for you to get that money back,
like myself,
you must wait 2 months for a GM to look over your petition and hope they have found a bug to verify your claims.
Customer Service is important. And CCP gets a grade of F-

ok, so your complaint about the game is the poor CS. Before this incident you admitted to liking the game, so the other features didn't give you much cause to complain.
I will be the first to agree that CS is an extremely important factor, but according to you, a poor score along these lines is enough to make the entire game suck. I call BS.
Cases like yours take time to investigate, and I cannot say for certain that any other gaming company would have retrieved your money any faster. I know one thing for sure, most companies would have essentially told you to shut the hell up, and that the cash is gone, deal with it. To be honest, your lucky you got it back at all. Are you going to call the others fairly along those lines then?

I have loved eve up until this point.
I am forgiving for server downtime, lag, etc.
But when something I Worked hard for disappears, and will take 2 months to get it back. That is ludicrous.
I have had such problems in games like Asheron's Call, and WoW. Both responded within a day.
Eve takes 2 months.
And the fact that it took me so long to get that money, and I won't be able to use it for 2 months. Yes. That means that the game sucks. There is always ONE overiding factor of enjoyment for anyone's preferences... mine just happens to be customer service. If something goes wrong, I want it fixed in a REASONABLE time. Not 2 months.
EVE Online is the best MMOG out there. If you don't like it you must be noob.

@fisherc : your eve sucks thread wont affect others.. its your fate that you have problems with market order so face it .. hating ccp and eve wont help you to gain back what you own.

If the game sucks, he is not gonna continue playing it, therefore he could care less to have back some virtual currency, his thread was to express disappointment at poor CS support, not to get the virtual isks back
In that regard, it seems it worked to a point.
EDIT: But i tell you one thing, Recently i did the same thing. I placed up market orders (ok mine where to sell stuff, not to buy) and my whole finance was invested in this project.
That all money took me several months to put together, now guess how pissed i would be if "hey! the money is gone and is gonna take the CS 2 months to even consider your case" (and maybe you get nothing back anyhow).

I also leave games due to bad Customer Support. Thats the real reason you pay that subscription fee. 1 to maintain the servers (but that is only like $2 a month), and two The update team which consists about a third of what is left, and three the CS team which gets another third, and finally the investors and publishers get the rest.
I've played alot of games and customer service is definetly a defining factor in a few. I have seen games completely fall apart and lose all hope of success because of bad customer service(cough SOE[Damn I think I caught a cold from thier bug ridden games]). I have also seen games that are crappy, and only survive because they have a great customer service team.

BTW, if you had been paying attention on the News, and there reports on server issuses and bugs etc, you would of known there is a problem with what you are complaining about.

No he couldn't cut it in eve so he tries to PvP eve players on teh MMORPG forums. And he sucks at that too.
Me too, when customer support won't support me, I reclaim my payments from my credit card company.
