Questions about RvR!

Hey,i just bought this game,and have not installed it quite yet,but before i did,i was j/w how good is the RvR?I know its supposed to be sweet,and i luv PvP!So here are some questions from me:

1)How many people are usually on each side?Is it like 30 vs 30 or somthing?Whats the avg amount of ppl?

2)Do alot of ppl still play this game?Or do most have the expansions.Also,when the free d-loadable expansion comes out,will it req. the other expansions?

3)I am j/w if in RvR,u can build ur own seige weapons.Also,how do u build them?Only certain people?

4)How often does RvR happen?

5)Is it really good?And will it lag any if my PC has 2.4 Giz,64 mb VRAM,256 RAM?

don't have a 50 yet but i think at times it could be like 150 people on each side so 450 people in rvr maybe not to sure.

yea you can build your own siege weapons in believe its depends on the tarde skills you have. i think you need a few people to make a ram and so on but once again not 50 yet so i wouldn't know.

your system seemsto need and upgrade the procceoors seems oh k. you want to get around 500 ram and it should work fine.

not sure about your graphics card but you should get more ram so the loading time and so on is much better. i use to have 256 ram and it was very bad load time. i would wait 6 mins to load into bg's and some times the games would lag out becuase of it. you can upgarde for pretty cheap like 60 dollars for some more ram and your going to need it anyway. to install you just open your system and push it in very hard in the right spot.

rvr seems to be 24/7 more people at diffrent times off course.

well if you by the gold edition it has the si expansion and thats all you need to at least 40, if you want to be competive in rvr you need trials of atlantis

I think if you like PvP, you will love DaoC.  I still think that Daoc has the best pvp format in the mmorpg genre.  To answer your questions.

1.  The amount of people depend on server you choose, side you are playing, time of day you are playing, and where.  The battlegrounds (lvl 15-35 isolated arena, there are 4 to segregate lvls) can be a little devoid of action at times.  Once you attain 50, and if you want action emain is the place to go to find the most people, although I prefer Odins, Uppland, Sauvage and Hadrians for some awesome action.

2.  Many people still play and many more will come back when Frontiers is released.  I do not think you will need the purchase expansion to install frontiers

3.  Yes you can.  Craftspeople can do it.  You assemble them by having the skills and the components then crafting it up.

4.  24 hours a day.  I am Central time zone, and I can find RvR action all day long.  I prefer early morning and afternoon, above the overly zerged evenings, but that is just a personal choice.

5.  Your machine will run it stupendously!  Have fun.

Last 1)Are all the RvR Castle seiges?Do u have to be a certain lvl to participate in certain battles?How will u know if a seige or battle is about to happen?

Well,a littlie more then 1 question,but hey!

If MMORPGs are addicting us,and keeping us 24/7,then why are we wasting our importing leveling time here?

No, not all RvR is Castle Sieges, your participation in RvR is your own making.  The Battlegrounds are level specific.  I think they are 15-19, 20-24,25-29, and 30-35.  In the frontier zones, you can go out at any level, but I wouldnt suspect you would find a group very easily as most of the competition is 50.  The best advice to finding castle siege type battles would be to get into a good guild with a healthy alliance.  If you want to do your own thing then you can cruise the frontier and the battle will find you.

Sounds exelent!!Ok,ok,i know i said that was my last 1,but your answers keep bringing up more in my head,lol.Thnax agin for the answers,but now i have a couple more quickies!

1)How fast and easy is it to lvl up in this game?

2)U mentiond to get in a castle seige,join a good guild with a good alliance,and so on,does each guild have its own castle?Do some?I thought every1 in the relam is ur friend and every1 out of the relam is ur enemy?

3)Can u make ur own house in this?

4)How long does ot take them to activate your account?

On almost all servers now, with the exception of a few smaller population servers and mordred, zerg seems to be the way of the game now. To compete you need a decent RvR group, pickup groups suck. Plus since everyone is getting ToA items now, which effect RvR to a large degree now I suggest you get the needed items for your class to compete.
