How to Spot an Attention Wh***

As of late it seems that we've had some difficulties amongst the discussion boards on how exactly to weed these out and so I thought I would take it uppon myself to write a quick how to on the subject.
Those that know me here are aware that english is not my first language and so by all means if you spot any blatantly obvious gramatical or spelling missphaps, send me a message and I'll happily correct the mistake. Also of note, I'm only commenting on the female variety here, as someone who is obviously much smarter then I once said: "write what you know".
The Attention Whore:
The attention whore is described by the Urban Dictrionary as: "A person(s), usually female, on message boards and or chats frequented by members of the opposite gender (gaming, skating, heavy metal) and make a very big deal of and about being female."
The Encyclopedia Dramatica goes on to say: "Most commonly found on the Internet, an attention whore is almost invariably a sixteen year old girl who desperately craves attention in any form. More then a handful of attention whores are completely insane"
While the exact description of said person can be cause for debate, what is not is that they are in fact out there lady's and gentlemen. It is imperative, important, NAY !!! I say it is your moral obligation that you educate yourself and those around you on how to pricesly determine whether what your reading is simply the whim of some hapless and clueless soul OR a genuine, 100%, through and through, attention whore.
The obvious Give-Aways:
- Attention Whores can also be known as Camwhore, commentwhore, drama queen and every girl with under 200 posts who went for 10 pages on why she was un-joining the forums or chat as a regular. /sigh
- The girl has a Myspace account, Live Journal account, Blogger Account AND a Yafro account
Optionary: MSN Spaces account, Poet.com, deviantArt, etc.
- An Attention Whore will have no less then Three photographic devices with them at any given time. The most common tools would be the Webcam, Digital Camera and most recently the really crappy but attention grabbing on the go Cellular Camera. These "Cell Cameras" are of special note people, as they provide the long awaited for whoring of attention even while not sitting in front of the PC.
- An Attention Whore MUST take a picture of herself in a Mirror at least once a day and post on any one of her many personal sites, lest of course she forget how deserving she is of all this attention...
- At some point the Attention Whore will almost always drop the bomb. Get ready for this one, it's shocking... She is a bi-sexual. I know, I know! It's a stunner but it's true, she swings both ways and your one of them. No matter who and what gender you are. Because really, why limit yourself to whoring attention from only half the worlds population?
- An Attention Whore will be everyone and anywhere, she will be a goth, a gamer, a grunge fanatic, a pretty girl, a bad girl, an innocent girl and a Linux girl. She will adopt any and all internet persona to garner all levels of attention.
- Where an Attention Whore resides, death, destruction and cutting are sure to follow. Prepare for stories on almost being raped, comming "this" close to dying and her parents being mysteriously taken out by a creepy, yet confused, flock of locust. Pitty her of course, because she cries as she types her devestating stories... on THREE different personal sites, over and over again...
- As sure as she is Bi-Sexual the Attention Whore is too fat. Whether she is Six Foot even and wheighs no more then 80 Pounds, she will call herself fat. Rib cages showing, jaw stretching, loss of consciousness, none of this matters, she is just fat. Period.
- The words: "Everyone hates me", will happen. Oh yes, they will.
- And finally, the mecca on how to spot an Attention Whore... "No one understands her!"
What to do?
The debate on what to do when met with one of these creatures can be just as heated as the exact interpretation of the beast itself.
Some say an offensive approach is necessary, for example, clubbing it over the head with a large blunt object as one would a baby seal perhaps. While others say a defensive approach is best had, a simple question prior to signing up for a discussion board, internet chat or personal site along the lines of: "Are you happy, sad or horny?" would most likely confuse the beast and send it scammering away in a fit of indecesion.
And still others offer a more passive, accepting way, simply ignoring and educating as to the consequences of putting up with such an infestation.
So I leave you with this. While this list is far from complete and of any substancial, original note, what is important is that you are aware dear reader. Because they are watching, reading, plotting and yes we too, even in our little modest corner of the internet, are subject to this creature.

Wow, I didn’t think anyone would ever put that much thought into the different forms of whore, in fact, I did not even know that there were that many forms of whore around, I miss the old days when it just was related to sex. All in all though this is a great step by step guide, I kind of wish there was pictures to go with each step though. Bring it on down now.

I don't carry three photographic devices everywhere I go. I generally have one (my phone) and I don't even own a webcam.
I demand revisions to include variation in terminology and identification.
The modern MMORPG is simply not worthy, of the acronym RPG. The straight grind and lack of atmosphere leave me with no choice. From this day forth, World of Warcraft, Everquest 2, and all the games like them shall be referred to as PIGCRAP. People In Guilds Constantly Raiding And Power-leveling

See, I've never really seen you as an attention whore though Verg, crude sometimes maybe, an odd sense of humor most defanitely, sometimes a little rude but usually pointedly.
I remember reading posts of yours in the past and thinking lots of what you wrote was built on shock value but after getting to know you, I think it's just that your different and little off what most people would consider the norm and absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's also something I respect a great deal about you.
