Player comments about the latest DnL patch include the following from the official forums:
Things I have seen so far in this patch
1. Still have same issue with pets being bugged when I log in. Can not manage them, and have to log out / in to fix, sometimes 2 or 3 times.
2. Still randomly crash. I logged in, took 2 steps and "YOU HAVE BEEN DISCONECTED" followed by "ACCOUNT ALREADY LOGGED IN".
3. Still crash after accessing vendors after accessing your bank
4. Did not see any new options for Forts or Holdings
5. Only new receipts I have found are on the Ranged Master Seller in AD
6. Slyvio sells some new refined stuff like Marble, and Nerve gaz, but they are Novice level and I do not see any new receipts ( checked Tanner, Blacksmith, Jeweler up to Master so far ) that require those.
7. And crafting stand in Azundell ( coppersmith ) is not letting me combine items for training for for use. I am using the right components, and it was working last night. (never mind, had to relog to fix it again )
Guess I will have to test the rest later, but so far, not getting a warm fuzzy from these "fixes".

Well, I guess after having this issue in game for some people for over a year now, and I have been lucky to not suffer the ALI bug, it was only a matter of time before I got it. You didnt do enough to fix the server / client stability, as I took 2 steps in game today and was Disconnected and I am now unable to log back in after 10 hours. Thanks.

ok WTF.. I was playing last night with no problem. The last patch seemed to fix my DC-ALI.. now this morning I log in.. get disconnected and for the past 1/2 hour i have ALI immediately when i log in.. not getting the "you have been disconnected" which means that the system is still seeing my account logged in.
this is just great.. exchanged one type of ALI problem for another. At least the dc-ali you could try workarounds with the second type theres nothing that can be done.. sheeesh!

To think that people still put up with that crap! I feel bad for them and at the same time feel that it's exactly what they deserve!

Glad to hear it, Tepthtanis. I'm only posting these DnL thead exerpts for folks like you; who are perma-banned from the official DnL forums. The interesting thing about this latest patch (10/5) was that it actually did fix a couple of important issues for many players. There are a few posts from people saying that the ALI bug is no longer affecting them, along with a major improvement (relatively speaking) of the FPS performance of ATI video card owners. But let's see, those two major issues were well known and have existed in the game since SoG went live about 10 months ago. At this rate of improvement, by my calculations, DnL might actually be worth playing around the turn of the next century.
But I'm sure (as my first post proves) that many lovely new bugs will be showing up over the next few days. I'll let you know about the most amusing ones.
