Very true. Personally though I will continue to let Sega store my game data on their servers. That way I can help decrease any chance that nProtect might give a false positive due to some background process that it doesn't like.

Have you tried backing up the save file and hex editing it and see what happens? More than likely PS:U will crash but will nProtect tell you there is an error before you do it?
EDIT: Nvm, it's a bad idea anyway. I don't want anyones account to be banned or anything.
