Im wondering what is the pvp like in this game?  Is it a free for all type pvp?  Or are you on a side, team, clan where you fight the other side?

another question, there is there ammo you need to buy for your weapons?

thanks

Have played: CoH, DDO EQ2, FFXI, L2, HZ, SoR, and WW2 online

it is not entirely free for all, everyone is a member of one of a bunch of factions, each starting in either Neocron City, Dome of York, and one in a military base (the CityMercs; mercanaries). For any new player; you should start in a Neocron City faction because its a much friendlier and crowded place.

Not entirely free for all, there are different zone types. Secure zones don't allow you to pull weapons, theres only a few of those and they are used for trading, tradeskills. Most places punish you for killing friends ( a lot ) and neutrals ( less ), but allow free killing of enemy factions. Hunting zones punish all pvp. Battlefield zones do not punish you for killing anyone, there are many of those.

guns need ammo. melee and psi of course does not.

and except when PPUs (passive psi use, healers) or certain hybrid psi users get involved; classes are pretty balanced, unfortunetly most people abuse these balance issues to win fights these days. but when you can find a good fight; Neocron pvp is the best you will find in an mmo, its a perfect balance of FPS and RPG.

I ve actually heard that before. I will definitely try this game within the week.

Is there any form of looting in NC2? Is the economy player-driven?

After some research, i found out that there's restricted looting in all servers and kinda like full loot in Neptune?

Is it worth starting in Neptune or should i just stick with Terra? i mean i really need an open-pvp, full-loot game, but is there anyone in neptune or am i going to be alone there?

i hope this time somebody answers. I really need advice on this one.

I agree, best PvP in any game, most interactive and you actually have to aim not just click a hotkey after auto-targeting the enemy

I keep popping back to  check out this game because it has always interested me.However if it's a point and aim game how would any canadian have a chance at AIM when my lag and ping would be horrible to any german server.I play FPS games all the time and LAG is a HUGE issue for any point and aim killing.Another thing that has ALWAYS bothered me about PvP is how do new players have a chance since they would have the odds of 99% of the server much more skilled than them?I use the word SKILLED because i dont really know if it level based or what?

I actually almost joined this game a year ago but the very iffy signing up scared me.It sure seemed like i would have hell trying to cancel my sub if i didn't like the game.

When you guys use the very loose term BEST pVp does that mean MOST fights are fair?Or just a bunch of happy players because they have very high skills and can easily win most fights over noobs.I mean a winning player is of course always happy and there game is the best in the world to them, but a new player that is uninformed and doesn't cheat in anyway may find it alot different?

Can anyone join /pop in and have fun or like most PVP games is joining late a deff mistake? How exactly do you buildup skills or is it level based? You see when i play games like unreal tournament ,no matter when i logon i can headshot any 7 year veteran and he will die,i don';t need hours of levelling or building up of skills. For this reason i always stick to to PVe for any rpg genre. So is this game worth my time or should i stick to FPS for any PvP?
