Item of Power & a question

I have a small villain sg and we are about ready to start the sg missions. Didn't want to have a bare bones spartan base, so we been adding storage and decor etc. Someone asked me a question I didn't know the answer to.
If we do a sg mish and get an Item of Power, does that mean our base will be raidable? As i said we have a small base, no defenses up, so any raid would be easy pickings to take our Item.
Another question is where is the medical aux items made at? We have an infirmary but our basic and advanced forge don't have any med aux recipes.
