Username??

I just got the E mail that told me to pick a name i registered with..i dont really remember it hehe..or do i just make it up ? I typed in what i thought it was..and it said they would contact me in a couple days? thanks if anyone knows

Here is what you have to do to get in the beta if you won a spot on this sites contest....

You should have gotten an email from Themis Group telling you to go to their site and register (with a username that has not been taken) for the beta. That is if you have not already created a beta account there previously. Which I did not so I went to the sign up page for the beta and plugged in all the info that was needed. After my registered beta username was accepted I received another email but directly pertaining to my beta signup information that I just set up. This will so far only give you access to modify your beta account info as it states in the email you get when successfully registering at ryzom's site.

Now after you have your ryzom.com beta username you need to click on the winner's link in the original email that Themis sent. You should see the long URL that contains the word winner in it somewhere so click on it and it will take you to a different ryzom beta page. All you need to do now is input your beta username you just created at ryzom.com and presto you should be finished. Unfortunately we will all be waiting a tad longer which is okay. Good things come to those who wait!

i have done this and when i use the link in the winners e mail i get user not found no log in thing what should i do

Thats exactly what I got: user name not found. Meaning they screwed up. . . Hope this isn't an indication of their customer service . . .

okay when you first register for beta at ryzom.com make sure your username is accepted. I had to try about 30 times before I got a name that was not used. Username has to be all letters and be 3-8 characters long. If your name was acccepted after filling out their form it will send you to another page thanking you for signing up. If the name was invalid or taken when you submitted the info it will just spit you back out at the blank beta registration page. Make sure after you submit that it takes you to a page congratulating you for signing up. Then use that username to plug into the winner URL we got from winning the contest.

hmmm interesting. I did not sign up for a beta account since I assumed I had a beta account from this contest. I just clicked on the link to register my username and entered what I want. Said thank you we'll be sending you an emial in a few days. Wonder if I need to sign up.

imasig you will not get an email because you did not use the username that you registered for the beta with. Your MMORPG.com username has nothing to do with the SoR beta. Must go thru the whole process of filling out personal info with beta username and them click on the winners link in the email and just plop in the username that you registered with. If you had a previous beta registered name like Kaelah did all you had to do was click the winners link and enter that name. But since you had not registered for the beta before winning the contest you have to register and then give them the username thru the winners link so they know you were a winner and what your beta signup username is. Same with you jbvegeta you need to register a beta username and then enter that name thru the winners link.

ok i will say this i did that i singed up for the beta and every thing filled out the info then i click on the winners link and all i get in user not found and them telling me to contact them no clicking or a place to put a user name

I almost gaurantee that your the username you thought you registered with previously was invalid. Do you remember what page came up after you clicked on submit info when registering for the beta at ryzom.com??

What happens if you never got a winners link cause you signed up on the Ryzom site? However I have a user name and password is there somewhere to download the game?

Just reply to your winning e-mail explaining that your link was broken and Themis customer service will deal with it. There's nothing mmorpg.com can do about it. . .

what stinks is that they WILL be shipping the ryzom CD's to us. Which I think is riddiculus. Anyways, we just have to wait for more info....

Not necessarily some people have downloaded the client from what I have heard. Whether this is true I do not know but some people said they have gotten the beta software like this?
