Hoping to find something like this in Vanguard.

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

Kay, so I'm a noob to MMORPG.com i r teh suk at forums, and I don't know if anyone has posted something about this, so don't get crunk on me, k?

Yes, I did just say 'crunk.'

 

Anyway, on to the point. I just quit playing WoW, and one of the best things about it to me was the roleplay. I played on Shadow Council, and roleplaying was so fun to me, it made the game even better. (I quit for different reasons. <.<) One thing about that, though.. is that there wasn't enough. I'd find some RP once a week, or if I was in luck, twice.

I just want to know - what are the chances of finding some RP often in Vanguard? I know the game hasn't even come out yet, but there could be at least an estimate. The game seems PERFECT for some RP. :D

    it seems like there is quite a large roleplaying community for vanguard, much more than WoW has IMO. Check out this site: http://www.vanguardroleplayers.com/ , there's probably others, but that seems like a good one.

    As for release date, its estimated to be released in Q1 2007, so a few more months.

    Can't wait to play it, I'm pretty psyched about the game itself and the RP.

    I'll start my own SWG... with Black Jack... and Hookers!!!

    I agree with him about SWG though.

    yeah, it looks as if theres going to be hella lot of roleplaying potential.  i personnally love to RP.  i current find EQII the best out there to RP in right now.  /dodges the incoming flame bullets

    There you got it.  I am pretty sure there will be a decent amount of roleplaying on every server, but the roleplaying server should be top notch on this.  The rules are made to favor roleplaying.  Really great if this is what you want from your MMO.

     

    Me I only roleplay with RL folks, with a computer...sure...can...but...that is a personnal choice and you can be sure you won't have to endure peoples who doesn't want to roleplay on the roleplaying server (except a few social outcasts who may always do something like that).

     

    Now, if only, someone could beat down Brad until he gets the "raid-free" server point deep enough for him to understand...

    Unfortunately, there tends to be a fair number of people who want nothing to do with roleplaying who decide to play on a DEDICATED role-playing server.  At least it was that way with my choices with EQ/EQ2.

    Not sure why someone would purposefully create a character on a server that they didn't like or had no intention of playing properly, but they are there.

    As to the OP's question - Vanguard is planning on having additional ruleset servers.  A RolePlaying server has been mentioned as a possiblity.
