I asked David Perry, the leaddesigner of the game, if 2moons will be a grindgame, and he said something like: "every MMO is kinda grindy" I dont know what this means but Dekaron is really a grindfest..... all u can do is fishing to do something esle!
But in my opionion David Perry and Acclaim will give their best to make this game enjoyable for players of the western market wich means less grind and more fun I read the development costs are around 35Million bucks so far... hope thats a good sign and they will make this game a good one wich Dekaron isnt in my opinion!
Greed? How is this a "labor of greed?" This game is going to be F2P, being developed by a company that is now aimed only at getting gamers to have fun, and the project is being headed by one of the greatest American developers of all time! Explain to me how?

I'm really anticipating the release of this game. I haven't played too many games but I can always tell if a game will be good or not and this game looks so much better than all the other games i've played.
I wasn't interested in this game but today i found it is designd by some1 from Shiny Enterainmant.. I looooved Shinys Sacrifice so I believe this game will be good =] About grind.. well every game is grindy but if they will give us something to do between grind I will be fine. =]

Well, they have to feed their families too
The voluntary ads in the lower right corner should do the trick though, if you don't want them, turn 'em off (in pvp, during a raid, siege..) otherwise keep them on to support the wonderful company... or smthn like that.
I expect a grind, I wouldnt expect not to be one. MMO and Grind are pretty much interchangeable.
The real question is how much of a grind is involved. Has it retained the orginal grind feast the game overseas contains? Or has it been waterdowned for the west. Though if you ask me I think game developers could learn a thing or two from blizzard. If you are looking for a huge customer base with lots of casual players go the way of grindless as possiable for lvls, and add the grind elsewhere for the more hardcore players.
I am still don't get why more developers havent followed blizzards model. Though I guess WAR will be pretty close, as it does look like it will be trying to take WoW player base.
Overall I think 2Moons will keep most of its orginal Asian Grind to it, but probably a little more watered down for the west, hopefully enough that it is enjoyable without being monotinous.
The simplest way I can explain grind for you is. A repetitive action that requires a large time investment to reach a goal. That goal can be lvls, items, or any other form of advancement.
Example, In some MMOs, most notably Korean/Asian MMO's, you could spend weeks, months, or even years killing the same mobs over and over to obtain just one lvl. That is usually what people are talking about when they refer to a grind in a MMO.
I'm a hardcore mmo player I love to grind for hours on end I've got use to it since I started playing 9 dragons which is basically a grind fest you only get 1 to 2 quests a level or none at all some levels btw 9 dragons is an awesome game yall should play it when it becomes OB sometime this month
