It seems that the lastest wave of mmos is riding the lastest wave of technology. I'm pretty sure your graphics card setup there isn't gonna cut it.

Hopefully for your sake, your dad changes his mind.

I really hope that *insert game name here* will be the first game to ever live up to all of its pre-release promises, maintain a manageable hype level and have a clean release. Just don't expect me to hold my breath.

I am so going to laugh.. that thing is Super old.. you need to upgrade if you ever want to play any new game on your system. there are rumors of people playing with 16 mg cards with super low effects and invisible buildings.. but that might change o ut of beta..

  • I don't even know what mg my card has. It's a Radeon 9200 pro though and runs everything else fine.

You will need to update your video card eventually to keep playing newer games. I'm not sure the specifics of your card but if the rest of your system is pretty good you might be able to get away with a slightly lower video card. Also if you can check to see how much video RAM your card has and it is similar/same to a low end GeForce 2 then it should work well enough to play the game.

    OK MrLipinhead,

Go to "your computer" on your Desktop, and (I'm assuming you're using XP), then click on the link on the left of the menu titled "View System Inormation."  From there, Click on the "Hardware" tab, then click on the "Device Manager" button (middle section).  From there, click on the "Display Drivers" list, and it will tell you what your Vid card is.

This may sound complicated, but it's easy.

I advise going top of the line cards, becasue if you dont when new games come out they will own your graphics card. So your dad probably mad for $400 dish out, or so.
