Its fake, impossible to hook the remote up to a PC. Also, even if it was real, look at the response rate of the mouse pointer, anything would suck moving that slow. Lets also not forget HL2 isnt made for the remote, and the remote isnt made for a PC. None of that matters though since the video is fraud.
Get your heads out of your asses. I hope Methane sees this thread, as proof of what I said about "PS3 fanbois".

Anyone who says it is fake is wrong, a week or so after the wii was released they found out that the "sensor bar" was only a bar that emits infared light, so someone taped two remotes ontop of their tv and had a button pressed down the whole time and the wiimote performed just fine, a couple weeks after that someone discovered that the wiimote uses bluetooth so a bluetooth enabled computer would recognize the wiimote as a blutooth device. And from here all you need to do is code a driver for it, which they did, so it is very possible and real.
Ive been following this "hack" for a while now, im convinced that its real.

Eh, regardless, I doubt HL2's control config would even recognize it is a working device, especially the jumping and stuff...

Thats all you need to read, END OF DISCUSSION.

No emulator is going to change that, only a time machine can.

If the Wii can be configured to be used on a PC this easily, then a Wii emulator might not be too hard to do. Also considering the ramifications of amateor game designers like myself purposefully programming PC games to take advantage of this controller scheme. Think you know of a great way to use the Wii controler in a particular game? Quite a few people can make it happen.

Emulating console games past the SNES/Genesis era is basically non-existant. Not to mention impossible with certain things like the Gamecube disk, the data was written on the disk the opposite way, only the GC could read them.

The Wii mote is sending data via Bluetooth aparently.. .There was another video a week ago that showed the first person that was able to recieve info from the Wii mote on the computer... Basically They can't get the pointer to work... All they do is track the gyroscopic movements...
It was pretty interesting.... I'm still not sure if its reall or fake though.. but i'm leanin towards real.

Yeah, and PCs can't read SNES cartridges either. I mean, where do you plug the stupid thing in? But we still could play them emulated. It's not whether you can read the disc, because there are always ways to dump the data to a file that can be transmitted by other means.

There are N64 emulators, Gameboy Advance Emulators, Playstation emulators, Dreamcast Emulators... and all they work... And there are also PS2/GC/Xbox emulators, but I think they don't work that well.... so why do you say it's impossible? I bet that in 2-3 years max you will see fully working PS2/GC/Xbox emulators.

Cool, they just proved that the Wii controller sucks no matter what you hook it to

Even if it's not fake...I have to give this a big "so what?"
like everyone else said, Halflife two isn't meant to be played with the Wiimote, of course it isn't going to be the best thing ever.
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
