So you guys tired of the "danged if you do and danged if you don't" vote you get with this two party system yet? Who couldn't predict the terrorists would be happy with a Democrat defeat over the Republican's. And what's the alternative? Republican's back in charge with what they've been doing to us?
Please, look to third parties. Namely the Libertarian's. It's not a wasted vote this next election if the Libertarian's got enough votes to get into the next debates. That's all it would take. One debate with a Libertarian candidate in front of the nation and you would see the system turn towards doing it's job for American's.

The good news is that it is a recognized party here. The bad news is that until recent years they did about as well as the socialist party in elections.
Recent years have actually led to a couple of wins for Libertarians though.
I dont know about the Libertarian party, but Ive always felt like a two party system is a joke. Its always: vote for clown No.1 or clown No.2 I never vote because my vote has value. And the clowns that the dems and republicans put forward are not worthy of my vote. They dont represent me in any way, shape, or form.
As for the article. Osama and company are living in fantasy land. They'll claim moral victories whereever they can get them. But whether the Democratic congress will actualy bend over and kiss their asses is yet to be seen. Here's hoping they show some backbone (and a little more brains than their predecessors).

Recent years have actually led to a couple of wins for Libertarians though. The Libertarian Party's philosophy has been (and still is) to start from the bottom and work its way up. In other words, the party has been working mostly on local elections and then plans on using it's influence to move up to bigger elections. It makes sense when you consider that the Libertarian philosophy is that government should have the most power at the local level and not the federal level.
Also, the Libertarian Party in America is the 3rd largest party amongst registered voters. In other words, when you go to register and they ask you which party's primaries you would like to vote in, Libertarian's have the 3rd most members. This is important too, because the larger that number gets or the more votes the Libertarian Party gets in elections, the greater the chance that they will be in the debates. And trust me, neither the Democrats nor the Republicans want that to happen. American's have not seen the kind of revolution that would occur if a Libertarian were to run in a large election. You do know who runs the debates that you see each year? It's the Republican and Democratic party's. Don't believe me, look it up. And they also decide the rules. Which have changed when party's such as the Libertarian's have gotten the percentage needed to participate in the debates. If that happens, they simply move the percentage of votes needed up.
And the Libertarian party has gotten more than a couple of wins. And the Libertarian party's influence goes further that just elections. I posted an article on here a couple weeks ago about how in local politics several Libertarians have taken decisions that were made to court and they were found unconstitutional.
If you would like to learn more about the Libertarian Party, it's stand on standing and recent issues, and how to get involved, check out these sites below. And spread the word. I have met so many people who have never heard of the Libertarian Party until I told them about it. And when I introduce them they are more than interested. It's the party that absolutely wants to do what they say they will do. Which is bring back the way this country was intended by the anti-Federalist founding fathers.
Something has to be done or this country is going to suffer more and more until it can't withstand being torn apart by these two major party's. They are both too influenced by special interests, they have no intention of helping the country over themselves, and are both too corrupt to begin to change.
I hope the Libertarian Party becomes a major player. Two horse races are not good for any democratic institution, especially when the two horses in question aren't all that different.
The US and Australia arguably have the dreariest and most staid political scenes of any nation in the OECD.

I vote Libertarian too. I wasn't excited about voting until I learned about them. I never even voted until I heard Harry Browne (R.I.P. ) speak. And I think it's cool that every Libertarian I meet is so much behind personal freedoms like I am. When they say smaller only necessary government that is out of the decision making process in peoples lives, they mean it. And yet they are considered radicals for that. It amazes me that people who call this the land of the free call Libertarians radicals in the same breath.
No offense Reavo, but I really don't see the Libertarians as a major political party until they change their name. A political party name should have some pizzaz, make a statement, you know? Like the Baathist Party, you can just see the clean politics....or the National Socialist Party, people doing good things for their nation. Libertarian sounds too much like a sailor in a whorehouse with a credit card. I don't think most Americans are quite ready for this yet, at least not enough to get them to think outside the box.
You guys are a bunch of sheep, some idiot with a rag on his head spouts off about how him and people like him won the election for th e domocrats and other useless dribble and you eat it up.
No wonder why people don't respect this country nowadays, this generation is full of flamming idiots.

Libertarian is a party?
It's just a philosophy here.
/sigh...what a time we live in...what a time.
*watches the world come to an end right before his eyes*
Aren't you happy you voted those damned evil republicans out of office now? So, so very happy.
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

Libertarian Party
Cato Institute
It's it a bit of a paradox or some word like that.
A Libertarian that seeks to rule?
Politicians are dodgey. Not to be trusted.
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
Independant, Shinto, Lesbian, and Proud!
