    What has the 20th and 21st century shown us?  That you can market a terrible product and people will still buy it.  Welcome to WoW.

    you consider that a war for subscribtion numbers.   the market must be really crowded.

    I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

    Maybe they did win but many players thought they didn't deserve it and that Eve did. Similarly some people think Eve did not deserve the PvE award.

    Both suck as far as i'm concerned... but eve wins for more originality despite the point and click movement system.

    It's nice to see that after being gone for almost 6 months the site is still debating the same topics.  I feel like I never left.

    Both excellent games. Mostly for 2 separate player bases. Not sure what you're point is.  To be honest don't really want to know.

    Really, this was the error of the last mmorpg.com contest: to deal with just two finalists. WoW vs. EVE turned into WoW vs. "Everything Else".

    I'm sure others have made this point before:

    WoW simply has a LOT of people who really hate it.  Anytime you put a vote of "WoW" verses "some other decent game who has fewer people who hate it" the other game will likely 'win' just from people voting "against" WoW.



    WoW really isn't a bad game.

    EVE really isn't a bad game.



    Both are quality games.  Personally I think EVE is better but that's just my personal opinion.  Taste in games is like taste in foods.  Some folks like Hamburgers and some folks like Cheeseburgers.  It really doesn't mean one is better than the other.  It's a matter of personal opinion.  WoW has broader appeal than EVE... doesn't make it better.  EVE has more depth than WoW... doesn't make it better.  As someone else in this very thread mentioned:  You are comparing two totally different games.



    EVE is a Sci-fi game based in space and requires far less 3D animated graphics due to that.  It's also got a totally different game mechanic.  It's also 100% based around PVP.



    WoW is a fantasy game based on the ground thus it will have far more 3D animated graphics due to that.  It's also got totally different game mechanics.  It is also 100% based around PVE... the PVP in the game is an afterthought and all the 'rewards' you get for it apply to PVE.



    They are totally different games.  Why people even TRY to compare them is beyond me.

    Well to you point and click games may be crap but in the end the majoraty on this site seem to see more to eve than just Point and Click.

    Hence the reason it won the Readers choice awards.

    no what i meant was that how can you click on something in space because you would go on forever! enless you clicked onto a planet, i'm not say point to click is bad i just do not think that its a good i dear  to to a point click space game!

    I see so you never even tried EvE out. Basically you double click in the direction you want to fly. Thats how movement works.
