I played all the beta-phases and every once in a while I´ll go check on my friends there...
but it now became very boring..and this shop-Thingy irritates me
I deleted my Blade, because nearly everybody got one and the Psy-Char is soo overpowered, everyone gets pwnd by a high-lvl Psy..Freaky..
So now im left with my good old friend (my Ele) it is just lvl 70 and Aoe sucks now after this summer-update, but anyway it looks cute

one bag thing about the game is that its allot about luck...
and i dont got ANNY luck in annything... so.. i suck in flyff...

but its still allot of fun.. im lvl 25. havent looted 1ring, earingor neackless...
but.. i have looted 2 PD6 and 3 cards... but thats almost worth nothing...
a friend of mine looted in one day: 1 earring+1, 1 ring+2 and like 6 or 7 PDs...

but still... the gameplay, skills and figthingstyle is preatty good

Game is ok for a free game.  Despite the graphics, it is NOT FOR KIDS!  Because it is free there is little attention paid to customer service.  There is rampant profanity shouted all the time, and characters with names like AssRapeJesus running around.

Recently, it has fallen victim to hackers, and the lack of customer service has shown through.  You get what you pay for.  It is a fun diversion, but I wouldn't want to invest too much time in it, because it will likely all go to hell.

How mature is a person who looks at a cute game and says it's for girls or kids or whatever based on its cute factor? What do these people think of Mother/Earthbound or Animal Crossing? I think I was in fourth or fifth grade last time I witnessed someone seriously complaining about this sort of thing.

I've only put a few hours into the game, but so far my impression is that the game is for kids because you don't really do anything but hit stuff.

I don't have to make decisions, I'm never afraid for my character, I never regret something foolish I did or something unfortunate that's happened to me. The most complex, challenging, and satisfying quest I've encountered involved collecting pieces of a map from two people and taking them to a third person for assembly. The most engaging storyline involved killing 20 monsters so an NPC would no longer be afraid to cross a bridge. The best dialogue had a girl calling me stupid and a coward after I turned down a quest I had already completed.

I'm sticking with this game because I want to know what goes through the mind of a person who claims it becomes fun after you've put 20 or 30 hours into this pointlessness, but my hopes aren't high for the standards of people who value their time so little.

I just started playing this game yesterday.
So far the community sucks just about as much as WoW's but at least in WoW when a person makes a homophobic name they get their name changed by a GM.

I personally believe that Flyff is one of the best free MMO's around.image

Some people think it is really babyish and stuff but honestly I DON'T CARE. It is an awesome game with guild wars and PvP and quests galore and guess what you can fly! image(Duh) So this game is awesome and play it no matter what.

do they play WoW? if they do laugh at them and tell them they are playing the easiest mmorpg on the market

    Playing: EVE
    and you better care

graphics for games shouldn't matter too much, unless you can't even tell where is your character. quite fun in the beginning, and the flying isn't all THAT great. image

Hello everybody.  I have started playing Flyff some weeks ago and I have to say this is my second MMORPG (the first one was Final Fantasy XI but I stopped playing it as I didn't have time and it was costly).

I think Flyff is a very good MMORPG, excellent if we consider the fact that it is completely free.  You know, I agree that a lot of users out there don't take this into consideration and this is why they misjudge it.  Flyff is enjoyable alone and more with friends, extremely well done graphics and music wise, the gameplay is nice too, original thanks to the ability to fly.  It also gives a great variety of classes that are all interesting and well balanced and it has a considerable world for players to discover.  Personally, given the fact I have played to other MMORPGs and RPGs, I consider Flyff to have all the ingredients for an interesting and enjoyable adventure.  I am definitely going to stick with this game.

I played the game aswell in the beta before the acrobats where there.

And I must say I liked it for a while but what really got me in the end was getting your skills up it is so boring.

( most of em where like ten except for the 3rd class)

If they (GM's) would ever chance it into just buying a book for a skill I would play it again for a while but thats not likely going to happen.

I had a dex build knuckle dude (forgot the name) I just turned into the third job also lot of people I know left by that time not just online ''friends'' but real life people I know from daily life.

So that was a big reason to stop playing the game aswel most of te people i know all moved on to playing silkroad online.

I came back for a while to check the game out since there where some changes and a new class but I didnt like the game at all! lts the cash shop stuff mostly the whole market in that game is screwed up.i had like 30 mill the time i stopped it was all still there same as my account image only that allready surprised me that it still excisted.

Anyway 30 mill was alot of money and now its pocket change so I quit the game again image I did'nt want to farm and skillfarm so long to get on top again only the thought sent a shiver down my spine image

FLYFF is a horrible game.  I would much rather play DieFF, aka Die For Fun.

In this game, you start out at level 999,999,999 and your whole point is to die in the most efficient means possible to reach the legendary level 1.  At this point, you will have the privilege of deleting your character and uninstalling the game from your computer.

It's vastly superior to FLYFF and has better gameplay concepts because they don't copy and paste the same crap over and over again with a different graphics engine.

Flyff is a great game, a little annoying because of the kill stealers at my lv (70) but still it has a little casual gaming to it and the teamwork that is a neccesity for clockworks, meteonyker and other high lved mobs adds a new little peice to the game.

Who'd win in a fight? Scorpion or Sub-Zero?

  • MsGamerladyMsGamerlady Member UncommonPosts: 192
Not a bad game for free. At least the quest arent broken and the mobs spawn fairly quickly. Usual community pros and cons I've seen in any other mmo.
It takes the edge off until I move onto the next single player or mmo out there that grabs my attention.  Play what you  like, that's all that matters image

The game obviously has potential to be a major game. Unfortunately it cannot be well supported outside North/South Americia and some other countries close (stated on the homepage) I live in Australia though it's natural for us to experience major lag in non-coordinated server serviced games this one had gone too far.

And so this morning I installed the game went on, made my character everything went smoothly (nice music) until I clicked in 'accept' button to log into the game. First of all the screen froze. Music went perfectly. Next the music started repeating itself (like a broken record some might call it). Then the music stopped completely. Silence. I went away and did some more important stuff like 'chores' . Anyways 5 minutes later I checked on the screen. Just as I was coming the screen changed into the gameplay map. I was like YAY. I pressed W. Nothing happened. I went away again. Came back half an hour and saw that my character had actually taken a step. Rejoice. So I ran around and everything went smoothly (except for some quite frequent MAJOR ASS LAGS THAT LASTED FOR 2 MINUTES EACH). When I got to my first monster some batlike thing I killed it(OMG). After a few kills I leveled. Yay suddenly the screen froze just as the leveling clip finished (shower of green sparkly light it was purdy). The music repeated itself and so on. I literally sat there for 15 minutes looking at the screen cause I thought it was worth waiting for since it was fun so far(when it didn't lag). Finally it returned back to the titale screen and I had to log on again. 3 times I logged on 3 times the message comes up 'You have disconnected from the server please try again'. When on the 4th try I managed to get back in. I

spawned in the middle of a river. Then I saw some cute little Fairy Mermaid things and I thought to myself. OMG MUST KILL INNOCENT CREATURES. So I attacked it.  I ended up dishing out 60 damage with my 'skill' and taking like 30 damage. My hp was like half full when the mermaid thingy only had a small chip taken away from its hp bar. So I decided to run. LAGGGGGGGG. 20 Minutes later I came back from my volunteer chores and saw a message with my dead char lying on the ground.  Something to do with ressurection. I clicked it. Screen froze. Reapeating music. Same sorta thing ya know? Later I came back and apparently I spawned in town but all the characters in view werent moving and there was a message with the 'you have disconncted from the server'. By then I was frustrated. How can I do action paced battles? Guild wars and let my guild down? Pvp and end up dying and losing my reputation? I gave it a few more chances trying to get to the 'oh so holy' lvl 20 apparently thats what the game is all about getting to lvl 20 and the rest is a breeze. This time I gave it 5 shots and logging in. I tried all the servers and channels (or whatever they are and I was level 6 by that time by the way and found it a grind fest in EARLY STAGES. I understand at later levels it might not by that grindish but in the early levels ITS ACTUALLY HARDER TO LEVEL THAN MAPLESTORY OMG) anyways I thought if I cant even logging why even bother? So I uninstalled it.

This lag problem might just be because of my internet connection (I use optus cable) or maybe my year 2000 laptop I can't tell you what model it is or how much memory etc etc cause I'm not the tech kinda guy. If I lived in Americia or somewhere close to that I might really enjoy the game since it IS my TYPE of MMORPG (fantasy magic etc etc) if you live in above ^ I think you may find this game worth checking out. However this game seems like runescape style except without the unnescary combat skills (etc crafting growing vegetable or w/e) that might be enough to turn someone off and it might even turn me off but I haven't played the game long enough to know. And I thought Maplestory lag was bad

I remember experiancing the same promblem along time ago when I had just gotten a new computer. I noticed it would disable my Wireless Network Connection and discovered if you're computer has too much going on or not enough to support the game requirements or even a merely fire wall could pose a promble. Recently I've redownloaded the game and it performs just fine. If you get to much lag, just restart your computer and let it sit for 20 minutes, this should get everything running properly again and if this doesn't work before you start your client, set everything on your options to low and this should have everything running again. Screw around with the selections or options until you get something that fits you and your computer well enough to play.

Edit: I still play this game even though my speakers are out of commision. As long as you perservere you should pull through. In my opinion I'm going to be playing this game for a long, long ass time.

this game is simple enough to have kids ( such as my 9 year old brother) play yet it is cool and mature enough to have me play ( im 19). i played this about a year ago and took a break to search around for other free mmo's but this one just keeps calling me back ;P

I played flyff, for a time. I lost interest in it. The controls for some things were easy, others wer hard and near impossible for me to figure out. Money was no problem, as I stumbled onto two dice early on. But the skills were annoying, the lag was hideous, but I could deal with that. But what really killed the game for me was the stupid thing where lower-level monsters wouldn't give any experience. The monster at my level were extremely difficult for me, and I didn't like having to spend about five heatlh things whenever I wanted to kill something.

Well, all that and the fact that it was just taking up too much space on my computer.

Now, don't get me wrong. Flyff has some good things. The graphics are beautiful, the community was nice, and the quests were fun, but the bad things just outweighed the good for me. Other people may like it, though.

I hate this game. Maybe its just because I spent 5 minutes running around with a wooden sword and killing bat things. Then getting killed by a giant water skier. Dont you find it kind of funny that the ads for the game have A. An anime chick bent over with a low cut shirt and big breasts. B. An anime chick riding a broom with to short of a skirt on to cover her panties which you can clearly see in the ad. There are many others which mainly involve anime chicks and clothing that doesnt fit correctly. I know its a marketing technique, nerdy guys, see some chick, go for the game but I mean thats kind of pathetic if your trying to attract that kind of crowd.
