If I buy Guild Wars: Nightfall, will I have access to the skills/quests from Guild Wars and Guild Wars: Factions?  Thanks.

Only if you buy or if you already have Factions.

There are Core Skills which are available in all three games, and then skills that are unique to each campaign.  In order to get skills that are unique to Prophecies, Factions or Nightfall, you need to buy the respective game.

It should also be noted that the chapter unique skills are only available in that chapter for PvE characters. So, you won't be able to purchase a Prophecies Only skill from a skill vendor in either Factions or Nightfall.

If i only but Nightfall will i have the ability to play? Or do i have to buy the previous versions?

Each chapter is stand alone. If you only purchase Nightfall, then you will be able to play but you will only have access to the Nightfall content.

Well, here's how it works. Let's say you have Guild Wars Factions, Prophecies, and Now you just bought Nightfall. There are core skills in each one of these expansions that you will keep even if you buy the new expansion. For example, let's say I was a E/A in Factions. I would keep my core ele skills (the ones you learn in the tutorial), and the skills I unlocked by talking to a Priest of Balathzar, if I were too make a new char in Nightfall. Now this doesn't mean that if I make an ele in Nightfall he STARTS OUT with all these skills. Most of these skills you'll have to purchase from a skill trainer, but you can do this at Kamadan, Jewel of Istan (the very first place you go to in the game.) On to the Balathzar skills. These same skills will be available on your Nightfall character (unless they are PvP only skills), but you have to unlock them again at a Priest of Balathzar and re-learn them on your Nightfall character. The is the same process for if you had Prophecies, and now you just bought Factions. On to the quests. The answer is NO. You will NOT have ANY of the old quests, but you will get new quests in Nightfall (I have it and believe me...there a hell lot more!). Don't worry about the quests. There are plenty of the in Nightfall. I hope I answered your question correctly. Please answer me poll to tell me if I did or not.

By the way, you do not need to buy Prophecies to play nightfall.

No If you purchase Nightfall only you wont be able to run hardly any good builds in pvp, youll be one or 2 important skills short. So If you want to run PVP a lot id suggest buying all the versions...... OR FIND ANOTHER GAME! Its what im doing!
