Early on, you can do just about whatever and be okay. Once you pick a role, you NEED to play it. It's okay to use weapons you put mastery points into, but you need to use the weapons of your clan. Wu-Tang use swords and fist weapons, and thus they have training trees to utilize them. You can also buy these items from the blacksmith. I've found sabers and spears, but using them would put me at a disadvantage, seeing as all my kung fu and chi kung are sword and fist based. If anything, try and find a clan that uses dagger, otherwise you won't be using daggers like you want.

If you want to learn dagger skills youll have to join Sarced Flower clan which is all female, if  you change your mind or if your a male character then dont worry as youre not that far behind and you can still go join a different clan and once youre accepted youre able to reassign your stats and masteries.

If you are female and you do decide to join Sacred Flower, you get much better dagger skills from the Sacred Flower Kung Fu trainers. For instance, my basic dagger skill went from a 12-16 attack to a 40-60 attack. I like Sacred Flower a lot but it is my first character... Dex and Str are working well for me so far.

As a Kung Fu nobody you can travel to any area and do any mission. Learn the basics expect for Demon and Tang sword/saber skills. If you wanted to and still a nobody you could even as male goto the Flower people , learn basic dagger skills , then switch later to your clan skills.

You can bind two weapons to your character (1 slot below the main hand weapon) so it possible using the W key to swap between two art forms. For example , lets say you are Tang , and you want to use dagger til you join thier cliqk , then you put a glove or sword in your second slot and swap them back then forth to train both of them with Tang skills.

Alot of Monks I know are Deva and Diamond who went staff while training fist skills , I ve even seen some Demon folks who went Staff (Beggar style) til they got the basics for Demon saber or fist.
