There is only one reason people here use Xfire. That is to prove how hardcore of a non game player they are.

Yes, there are many people here who have Xfire profiles. But if you take the time to read them you will see that the majority of these people are bragging about how little they play not how much they play. Most of them have profiles showing no games being played or games with only 2-3 hours of game play.

And since this website finally fixed the "no signatures" option, I thankfully never have to see those crappy profiles here.

I am proud of my 1000+ hours of SWG lol but poker and bf2 is slowly creepin up. Xfire is cool but can be a bit annoying when ur flying a plane/chopper and you get 2 or 3 messages that make an awful tearing sound lol.

Practically essential for communication needs between in-game friends and/or guild and clans.

Another program most use is mIrc, but I still prefer X-fire.

I used it for a while, but that thing just eats bandwitdh, when I had three online games running, my connection didn't stutter, but x-fire alone made the other comps in my house lag out horribly. I've also clocked in untold amounts of hours before I got it, too. Probably around 4000 hours between two mmo's (I'm not exaggerating)

I jumped on the bandwagon and got one about a year ago and when running it ate up my ram and also it was difficult for me to log in so I just forgot about it. I don't need such a thing anyway.

Wow looks like a few of you guys really hate x-fire? Someone said that xfire is only for those who want to show how hardcore they are.. why?

Cuz I use the program for chatting with my gaming friends, its only a good thing that you can keep track of your gaming time, or is it?

I just got it a couple months ago.  I did not have it when I played SWG for hours and hours. Or WoW for that matter.  Since I have quit WoW a year ago, I've been jumping from MMO to MMO and beta testing a few.  I haven't really found a good one to play, yet.
