Even though I'm usually a positive (tho sometimes caustic) person when I bother to post here...I have to say DO NOT EXPECT TO ENJOY THIS GAME



It's a limited skill, cartoony, pure-Asian MMO grinder that's no different than any other grinder out there . If you already have a grinder you like to hang out on (they can be good for a little mind-flushing entertainment), you have no reason to change over to Scions Of Fate.



Please, for the love of God, don't play this game unless you really need your "cute" jones.

    I disagree.

    If you haven't played it yet, you shouldn't be posting.

    If you have, try the second CB. It starts on Monday.

    The community is great, it has less grinding than most other MMORPGs -- especially when you're partying. It's one of the few games where you level faster in a party than solo.

    What kind of comment is that? "Pure-Asian"? What the heck. Are you being racist now and practically most of the good games are created by asians.



    Some people love grind, some people don't. I don't like grind but it's fun if you party with people.



    As a matter of a fact, I love this game. I play it and i'm enjoying every minute of it. It seems like you barely even tried the game, maybe for a couple lvls and you just assume it's grindy. Ehhh, what kind of gamer are you? -.-"

    heh that's right accuse me of being racist when I'm describing your baby...Asian Grinder is just an apt genre-term as anything else for the shovel-ware we've been fed over the last 3 years (at least) from the land of the rising sun. There is no racial slur there, that is where they come from..so get off your over-sensitive high-horse.



    What kind of gamer am I? Hmmm...Started with EQ I, AC 1, DAOC, Earth And Beyond (rip), AO, CoH, WoW, CoV, Myth of Soma, Hero Online, 9dragons, and so many others here and there it's not even funny. So I'm a gamer with time under his belt and clarity enough to call crap crap.



    Yes, i played til after the 1st promotion in Scion's (Though we're not supposed to be admitting we play it under NDA..but meh, I don't care if they yank my ticket), and I have no real interest in PvP if that's what your implying by your 2nd beta comment. I stand by the info on the website and my own experiences that the game is not going to be "it" for those who don't like Asian Grinder games. The limitations to the skills and been-there-done-that animations for the skills aren't going to win anyone over who doesn't already like that style of game,  the forced-grouping aspect is going to turn off even more people as they actually have to deal with it (and please, don't trot out the old horse of "wanna solo, get an RPG"...it's an immature argument and the refuge of someone ill equipped to really debate the actual point), and the cartoony anime style is gonna make older gamers a little nauseous.



    Don't try picking a fight with me, it's not gonna work.



    ...but then people who choose to endorse this stuff are the very reason even more of it is shoveled out.

    Ive been playing along all the beta by now, and i can definately say this game sucks. Its boring,  has bad graphics, has the worse customization system ive seen in my life, poor battle system, oh well. Its a waste of time .    If  you like that kind of game you should really try R.O.S.E or Ragnarok Online, otherwise nevermind, because scions of fate is not worth it.

    Currently Lookin for a good MMORPG

    There's nothing racist about it. Everyone that plays MMORPGs knows what someone is talking about if they say a game is "pure Asian". It's a grind fest, very structured, and no sandbox elements. Those games do well in Asia, USA and Euro's don't like 'em quite as much. Why do Asians like grind fest games? Someone could probably write a book on it, but how cares. It's been said that these games appeal to Asians because of the communal mentality they have, whereas Westeren Europe, and especially America, is more individualistic, but it doesn't really matter.



    Just tell me a game is made for the Asian market, or has anime, and that's pretty much all I need to know to skip it.

    Ive never posted about a game on here yet but i have to say... This was the worst game i have ever played. I went one zone away from the starting area and killed one guy than had to sit for 10 mins while my health reganed. Or i could have spammed a few pots ( like every single Korean game out there) Oh and the music was ok but the same 2 songs over and over and over got to me. The Ability points were just stupid! Why cant they ever just stick to easy stats like Sta for hp and Int or something for Mana/chi and Agi/Dex for attack power. Also the click to move is getting real old... I try to attack something and run past it cause i missed the click. Well anyways i know this all sounds like im the dumb one but lemme tell ya this game by far is the worst ever!

    I don't think calling someone a racist because they don't like the typical Asian....Shallow gameplay because you like this type of game shows a hell of a lot of maturity..Good Asian. MMO'S..List them..We are all waiting..Your a 16 year old who has learned that the best way of defending your point of view is name calling.....Again i say list all the great Asian MMO'S you've played..

    PvP system is bad. It's basically potion spamming, right now.

    The first beta was fun for me, but I really don't know now if I'll continue. My view of the game has changed since the first post.

    However, in the third beta, they're adding some new systems. We'll see how it'll turn out.

    I dont ussually like these grinders, but after beta i still wanna keep goin on this one. Its more fun that most asian games.



    Probly will keep me occupied until WAR or at least til Hellgate London.



    Got a guild, made some friends, and in all honesty i like it better than wow.

    Not to dis the wow fans but thats just not my cup of tea.







    If your waiting for that special game to come out, this might hold you over for a while.

    Agreed.

    The only thing disappointing is the PvP and the character customization.
