I was hoping to have a look into Vanguard at launch (been a REALLY long time since I joined a MMORPG from fresh),
but I'm quite hesitant to commit after hearing reports of the game's demanding requirements.
My system atm -
AMD 64bit 3200+
Nvidia 7600 GS 256
2 gig DDR 400mhz
Audigy 2
// 8mb connection...blah blah.....
Will this run the game comfortably at medium settings?

OP:
I have the same system, with the exception of the video board. I currently have a 6800 standard.
I run the game on balanced, but I moved both shadow and shader sliders to 1%. I get 15-24 fps. Its not bad, but not great.
im waiting on my x1950 to arrive in a couple days so things will be much better

I'm planning on upgrading my pc this sping/summer/fall just before Warhammer Online comes out. I was looking for something to play in the meantime. I played Wow for a bit, but it became a farm fest. WoW runs fine on my pc, but Vanguard in beta did not. I hate to buy a new graphics card just for this game so I might just buy stupid Burning Crusade since I have a feeling I won't have much success playing this game with such a low card - I think mine is a Nvidia 5600.
Hopefully the 8800 will come down in price in the next few months or so.
Glad to find this post to convince me which way to go.
well if its any consilation, the game runs a lot better now than in beta. In beta I ran the game on High Performance with a tweaked INI putting almost all my textures to the absolute lowest quality. I run on balanced now with a small tweak better than I did in beta.
but you mentiond your 5600 video board.. im not sure if you'll experience the same fps increase because of that.
