Star Wars Galaxies gives us a look at the Holo-Bands feature coming in Chapter 5.
We have another sneak preview of some of the great things coming your way in Chapter 5: Holo-bands!
Holo-bands give entertainers a new way to have fun in the game by spawning their own band members. With this entertainer expertise ability, dancers can choreograph new dance routines using their holographic dance group and musicians can create a well rounded band comprised of a variety of different instruments allowing for a more robust sound - but all under one player's control.
Bottom line: Spontaneous fun that allows Entertainer's to do what they love most - entertain others in-game!

only pre cu servers will.. my dream is that if Soe/La shoud have spent the money thay have on NGE has been used for making content for pre cu. SWG woud have been the best game ever.. as long as the NGE stay i am not comingback.

Why do they keep putting lipstick on this pig? As bad as this game has become and as low as their subs are now one would think that they could do better than this.

I have an even more revolutionary idea than holo bands. How about holo subscribers.
Have a server with low population? Just push a button and have holo players running around to make you feel like you are not alone. To add to the authenticity of this, use cancelled subscription toons as the holo players so you will actually believe you are playing with someone besides yourself.
wow how long have you been playing SWG hactar i would come back in a heart beat if pre NGE servers were put up but other then that the game is dead to me i cant stand it

Pre cu is dead, if you want it, go play emu, if you can develop and move on, have fun with swg2 
As for me, it's not that whatever current re-re-reinvention of the basic game mechanisms we're up to this week are bad in themselves. There's just no point in investing time and dollars in a character or game that they'll take away from you next season when another spasm of REDO EVERYTHING sweeps SOE like a stomach flu.
Remember that every neat challenging feature you like about the current game was added AFTER top management swore on a stack of focus groups that their research clearly showed that what "we" wanted was a baby simple game with no reading and no math and no complicated skills - and ripped out three years of development to prove it.
So now go ahead and praise this new incarnation to the skies and get real involved with it - while you can. Don't worry, when they suddenly rediscover "iconic simplicity" and dumb the game down to Teletubbies level, there will be some fanboi playing that New Drool Experience and calling you a whining dinosaur for wanting your NGE back.
NGE - Star Wars Galaxies is like colorizing shit:
you can colorize shit to pink, it looks nice, but underneath the color its still shit...
so no mather how many "cool new features" they add into the NGE, it will never be successful until the remove the shit and give us back what we already had and almost was perfect: pre-cu Star Wars Galaxies.

Isn't there some quality control on these responses? People, if you don't like the game, why are you spending so much time bitching about it? Move along.
I know they've got an entire section where you all can complain in, so take it out there. These sections are for the people that find the game fun. In other words, the people that don't have their blinders on that prevent them from seeing that this game can still be enjoyed in almost all the ways that were there before.
Now, as for the announcment, I'm not sure what to think. I've never really paid much attention to entertainers. I honestly think they should be completely revamped as they dont' do much. Even before NGE, I never got their purpose. Then again, I never understood mind damage. As if my brain was hurting from thinking too much or something. You'll note that no other game, on or off line, has ever done that. At least none that I know of.
I couldn't say if this is a good thing or a bad thing. If it's simply to make up for the low number of Entertainers, I'd say consolidating the servers would be better. Just automaticly pack up the houses for everyone and move them into a smaller number of servers. Mayers would be given a free deed to a City Hall and a set amount of credit to re do their city in the new server.

You might want to open your fricken eyes and look at statistics then. This game is dead, just the optimistic morons are still left, the veterans left long ago.
A note to SOE:
Stop adding stupid shit that no one cares about in the game, fix the combat and convert to something non-EQ non-cliche or just give us back our old engine. You broke it, you know you broke it, you admit you broke it.....SO FIX IT! Each passing update you guys make more and more asses out of yourselves, but hey I must say these updates are great to laugh at. Thanks for the good laughs SOE.

Be prepared to see all this be broken, nerfed, deleted within 2 months if the game even is supported that long...

The game is far from dead and is infact, increasing in numbers. They've made alot of good changes to the game over the last year and for the first time in the games entire history, it's just about got a stable, working foundation. Chapter 5 will add the finishing touches.
I wish people would play the game instead of bashing it based on 7 months old "facts"...
SWG is not dying, it's growing like never before. Large PvP battles rages on every single day on four different planets, Traders and Entertainers are eagerly awaiting chapter 5 (which means even more subscribers), cities are bustling with life - newbie life, and the whiners are gone... so is Pre-CU. And the NGE is thriving in it's place. Get used to it!
Yup i to hate SOE what they did to SWG pre-cu....but that was then this is now, time to move on and to comment the topic it seems for a change they doing something good to the game, like someone else stated i have no clue if there are any entertainers ingame today, but if they are then it is a good thing, it doesn't nerf any prof. wich unfortunaly SOE has a major trackrecord in nerving stuff, so i do not see this at all of being a bad thing, it might help getting some more life around the SWG world.
Afcourse you have those sad people that keep bashing SOE for whatever reason they can not let go of the past and are stuck in a loopwhole unable to climb out again.
It is actualy very sad to read some responces, i do not see them trash talking on the guildwar forums as i think they even dare to go one step futher then SOE and give you a whole team of bots to fight along your side (nothing wrong with that and its pretty cool)
Now you have to understand why so many country's are at war , they all narrowminded and cannot get over the past even if the future could be alott brighter if only they could leave their pried for a rest and see the larger picture
