Kinda'... quiet

Is it just me, or is it kind of... quiet when you play? Meaning, people don't seem to socialize much. I feel like I'm playing a single player game. Granted, I just started out so I'm in the new players area. Maybe it changes when you get higher level...?

Yeah,thats something I noticed as well. Joining a faction should fix that though.

Yeah I only have 2 friends, (need to get with you GL)) so far. It gets quite a lot. Rarely talking.

I think it's a mixture of the community and the game itself. I mean, when you control three characters, you aren't giving the usual solo player any reason to socialize with anyone else. Someone did randomly talk to me during the tutorial though, and we added each other up on the friends list. Hopefully you'll come across some social people sooner or later. That or you just start talking to random people and hope you don't get blown off.

I agree! While I usually find a ton of chatter annoying in other games the complete abscence of chatter in this game is odd. I am as much to blame as anyone though. My focus is on getting the controls down. Being able to give commands to three characters at once takes some getting used to.

Someone should make a mmorpg.com faction for us all to join.

I think we should take into consideration that this is beta, so players will be busied with working the controls, submitting bugs, and getting a better feel for the game. Also, since this is a Singapore hosted server, expect there to be non-English speakers.

I agree, lets see what happens after beta. I see many "social spots" avaible in GE, just nobody stops and chats.

One of the problems is that there's no zone wide or world wide chat, aside from microphones and megaphones, which from my understanding are 1-time use items.

I really hope the -phones aren't one use items. Kinda expensive to just say one thing. Although I don't like how everyone can use the server-wide broadcast channel, already tired of seeing stupid faction advertisements scrolling across the screen.

But yeah it is pretty quiet, with the crazy number of mobs you're fighting at the same time its kinda hard to chat. Would have thought there would be more in the towns, but the dumb mega and microphone idea kill any plans of talking to anyone who isn't standing right next to you to see normal chat.

I feel the same. Its extreamly quiet when im in town. The chatting box is so small that i hardly notice them when they speak. But its got a little better after joining a fraction.

Yeah, Phones are one use items.

It hasn't been quiet with me. I spent 2k on a Microphone and sent out the message "Hey, I just spent 2k to send you this message"

I now have quite a few people on my friendlist, of course most of them were asking why I spent 2k to send them a private message.

if you didn't sign up for close beta you have to wait till its over in like 3 weeks or so. there will be a player wipe at the end of closed beta.

The reason why its kinda quiet is because...

We are speechless on how good the game looks

Partly i think because we are trying to be good beta people and getting the control downs while finding bugs and such.

We also AFK alot at low lvl it seems... but oh well in the higher level i dont think we are able to do that much ^^

Only close beta nothing to spam the message to rant on.

The game is quiet .. Well is CB .. most of us is explorning around using to replay questions in game .. but i,m filling my time chating with the NPC`s and Having fun with the JuqBox the Music line in the game is a awesome

Wait till u get high lvl so u will need much more player there gona be kind of mini raids doing missions ..
